we decided to stop at the Waterloo Illinois Pizza Hut while out shopping...and now we wish we didn't. We haven't been in there since they changed location so we thought we would have a nice sit down...and that is all we got. First...why is the pickup for take out in the same location as those waiting to be seated for eat-in? How do you tell who is there for what? Second, why would you shove a big round table in the middle of the intersection of the aisles? We had to walk around the perimeter of the restaurant just to sit 10 feet from where we started! Isn't that a fire hazard? I can't believe that is even legal. Third, even though it was only 2/3 full, we received no service in 20 minutes...not even drinks. A lady and kids at the table next to us came in and within 5 minutes had a waitress. That is when we got up to leave. We expressed our dissatisfaction to the seater and waitress and then went to inform the manager about it. She offered to give us some credit for a future takeout...but my wife just shook her head and said we were hungry NOW as we left....seriously the dropped the ball. The biggest shopping weekend of the year...they should have streamlined the service for this period. A simple fix would have been to run the buffet all weekend. Less demand on the wait staff with a buffet. Make it one pass not all you can eat and the flow would work better than this mess. Unlike them, Little Caesars was on the ball. You know how they keep a cheese and a pepperoni and a sausage hot-n-ready and you order the other stuff ? For this weekend they had at least one of every menu item prepared and waiting. I walked in, grabbed a 3 meat and Italian cheese bread , paid , and was out the door in less than 1 minute. As soon as he pulled my items the counter-person called them out to the back so they could make replacements. That is the kind of planning Pizza Hut should have done. At the very least the manager should have offered us something NOW, not some unknown...
Read moreDo yourself a favor and do not order pizza from here.
If I could leave less than 1 star, I would.
I ordered my pizzas at 558pm. I received an update at 617pm that my pizzas were out for delivery. I called the store at 707pm to find out the pizzas that were done 50 minutes prior hadn't even left the store. Who would have thought I would have to remind Pizza Hut to deliver my pizzas?
Approximately 25 minutes later, the pizzas were delivered - less than warm. It doesn't take more than 90 minutes to deliver cold pizza that took 20 minutes to make to an address less than 10 minutes away.
I will not be ordering from here again, and recommend you don't either. You'll get better pizza and faster delivery from Papa Johns or Domino's. Hell, you could drive to Schnucks or Walmart, buy a DiGiorno, drive back home, preheat your oven, place the pizza in the oven, start a movie, finish cooking the pizza, eat the pizza, and watch 2/3s of a movie in the time it would take you to get a pizza delivered from Waterloo Pizza Hut.
0/10, do not recommend. I'm honestly finding it hard to believe that anyone had an experience that would merit anything over...
Read moreFood was cold and girl at the window is always very unfriendly Edit: updated review. I've been called names by the general manager because I complain too much! She let me know they have notes under my name to make sure to double check my food before it goes out because I am a constant complainer. Well.... if that was true, my food would be correct most of the time! Even after being disrespected, I decided to give them another chance. Well tonight I ordered 2 pizzas and fries. It was estimated to arrive by 6:31. By 6:45, I started calling wondering what's going on! I kept getting a call center because they wouldn't answer the phone. The call center couldn't help and told me to keep calling. Finally at 7pm my order arrived through doordash. He said it was just horrible at the store. There were at least 5 other drivers waiting. My food was stone cold and despite trying to call the store 10 more times, no one...
