Ten One Tea House — Restaurant in Watertown

Watertown's second boba shop, and a huge win! I've been four times now in the first week (no shame, it's that good), and every drink has been awesome. Their boba is consistently soft and chewy, and their teas taste high quality. Don't sleep in the boba options outside of brown sugar - I find the honey white boba goes really well with the lighter and fruitier teas. And if you're going for the fun looking aesthetic, the dragon fruit boba is a very pretty color.

The shop is well located in Arsenal Yards, with plenty of food options to go with your bubble tea, and the interior is clean and cute.

I would highly recommend their brown sugar, Earl grey, roasted oolong, and green milk teas. I also tried the lavender milk tea, but I found the lavender taste to be pretty strong (though some like that). I also tried their matcha, but I got it with oat milk, and I thought their oat milk was pretty watery. In every drink though, their boba...

I wish I could leave a higher review but this place is just not consistent. One day I’ll come in and I’ll get an amazing drink, the next, I’ll get a drink thats missing a part of the order. I think out of the last 5 orders I’ve placed, they’ve all been missing a part of the order. It’s really frustrating, especially when you’re paying for extra items like foam, boba and other extras.

Lastly, every time I walk into that shop, it takes me 2-5 minutes before any employee comes to take my order. Last time, I stood at the counter for 2 minutes while the employees talked to each other and then after they finished conversing about social media, they came to take my order. A few other occasions, an employee was FaceTiming a friend and I waited for her to finish FaceTiming that friend before she took my order.

If I didn’t live so close to it, there would be no reason for me to come to this place. Waste of...

Nothing wrong with the drinks, wish I could say the same about the staff. Placed an UberEats order and put in description “more tea less milk” and I guess me trying to be efficient was so offensive that the employee felt the need to write me a note (photo attached). Not sure if they were trying to be funny or clever, bc it was neither, but they should’ve just kept their thoughts to themselves. It’s just a modification description.

At least be professional -.- Better yet, not being so sensitive...
