Firehouse Subs Waterville Commons — Restaurant in Waterville

This is a bit of a long review but is necessary for the reciews purpose. Was in Waterville for my wifes postal academy and went 2 days in a row since i have never tried it and it looked great on tv. First day we each ordered a small sub. Was quite pricey for what it was. Very small. Basicly child size. Hers was made correctly. I asked for no dressing or mayo on mine. Got the no mayo rite, but added spicy mustard dressing which on the recipt clearly said no spicy mustard rite under no mayo. So i didnt eat it. She did and liked it, Minor issue for me. Figured i would try again today, the next day. So on lunch break i took her to firehouse subs again. We each ordered a build your own turkey sub today. Both exactly the same but wanted to add bacon to mine. Paid $17 fpr 2 medium subs. About 6" subs roughly. The BYO sub was priced decently, but they dont have a simple "add bacon" option on their register so they rang it in as a different sub. Costed me $3 extra for the same sandwich my wife got ;(turkey,cheese,lettuce,tomato,bread) but added bacon. Heres the kicker...my sandwich didnt have any bacon on it. Even after i expressed my concern with the actual sandwich makers about the issue and she first asked if i added bacon to it, i replied yes, she then explained that it said a different sandwich on the on the recipt because there was no key to add just bacon to a sandwich and it was going to still be the same sandwich i ordered then she repeated it to me correctly as to what would be on it. Good enough for me. Even with the 3 extra bucks for a lil bacon. So in the end we both got the same exact sandwich and i paid 3 more dollars for mine than hers. Thats 2 visits there ever and both times my food is not right. Very disappointed with employees ability to make orders correctly. And the place is way too small for the amount of business. Too cramped. Always trying to move to be out of somebodys way. I will avoid this particular firehouse subs, and sadly given my 1st 2 experiences with them i doubt i will choose firehouse subs anywhere i go now. The 2 stars earned are for nothing more than the sandwich was still edible and was average as far as a sub goes. The fact that i can round up my change for first responders to get donated equipment and necessities is most of that 2 stars. Thanks to all first responders and their families for the sacrifices...

I go to the one in waterville maine. I travel a bit to get there. I just love their friendly service. I always have a great time there. I enjoy the meatless salad and my boyfriend always gets the new york firehouse sub. Its so yummy. Pastrami and cheese. Delicious. Love the enviroment and firefighting gear and history. Best of all we round up to go to your local fire and rescue stations and firehouse donated big to at least 2 local stations in and around the waterville area. Much needed equipment updated. And all of us customers are so greatful and thankful to you all. The crew at the waterville location always cheerful and smiles and eye contact. They are very helpful to help us make a great choice of the food we eat there. And they are super clean. Love it there. I work at a deli here in my home town of corinna maine. Cleanliness is huge as well as being friendly and smiling and welcoming to the cusomers. We need a firehouse sub here in newport palmrya and or pittsfield area. And yes the interstate is right there in those towns. Please think about...

Today I called my order in came from another town to pick it up. When I got there it was chaos behind the counter Stood there ten min when they told the customer in front of me they couldn't take there order there system was down. Then I went up to counter were mine was called in ahead. And they told me they could only take cash. All I had was debit so I told them I would go get cash out and be back . Got cash went back 20 min later and door was locked said no orders at this time so I knocked on door and showed cash that they told me to get a woman came out and said she couldn't take cash either even tho they told me to go get cash and she also stated she didn't know when it would be So the subs I had order 40 min prior I wasn't able to get even with cash in hand...
