Craft Bakeshop & Eatery — Restaurant in Watsonville

I just have to say, as someone that comes here frequently (But does not usually leave reviews in general) I just came online to find the holiday hours and felt the need to leave a review after seeing a review on google that is not reflective of my experiences at craft. First of all, I can only speak for my experience but the girls there are lovely, and even when it is slammed they always get my food to me quickly. It is such a nice environment to sit in there (literally a thousand times better than a crowded starbucks) and i have always received great customer service. they even have served me lunch before it was even available one time, which was a hassle for them but they went out of their way to do it anyways. I wanted to keep this place as my little secret but every time i go there it is busier and busier so i realize people are finding out about it.. clearly the owners put dedication into the food and menu because it is HANDS DOWN the most consistently good and updated menu (like consistent as in its the same preparation and quality everytime i go there which is not easy to find in this town)....and it is clearly made fresh every day which is why it has quickly become my favorite place in town. I really, really wanted to like this place. I ordered a bacon breakfast burrito, a vanilla latte, and a chocolate chip cookie. The breakfast burrito was 70ish% egg, bacon, and 15ish% day old wrinkled overcooked starchy bread-like potatoes. It was highly unsatisfying. The vanilla latte tasted and smelled like burnt folgers coffee. I took it home in hopes of salvaging it and was unable to do so. edit I had folgers recently. It may have smelled like burnt folgers but it tasted even worse.* Considering the bio on their website, I thought the saving grace would be the cookie, and I was wrong. I am so glad Craft Bakeshop is in business! This local establishment serves excellent food, pastries, and beverages but perhaps more important, the owner and staff are nice people! After I accidentally locked myself out of my vehicle, they were so sympathetic and helpful. Being treated like a valued customer even when I was unable to purchase anything at the time because my keys, money, phone, etc. were inaccessible in my locked vehicle was the highlight of a difficult day.
