Store is located on the corner and not much parking to be had during the lunch rush so had park down the street and around three corner. There was a line and most seats were filled (good sign). Not an intimate place for a date, but a good place to go during lunch or after a movie. They do sell beer. The restroom is clean and they have 1 high chair. As for the pizza. It was great! I lived in NYC for 5 years and also Connecticut and I consider myself a pizza snob. The crust was light and airy with that char & crisp that you want. The sauce had that perfect blend of acidity, richness and the taste of tomato. The mozzarella was wonderful. I was transported. Easily the best plain slice I’ve had on the central coast. It’s a 30 minute drive from Monterey, but worth it. Definitely coming back. Price: $10.60 (includes a $1 tip)

Ok, so I only post when it is the best ever place to eat. I’ve gone to a few places and my reviews end up creating a buzz . I get thousands of likes and thumbs up for sharing my posts on google reviews. This by far is the best pizza I’ve had in a long time. Clean restaurant, super friendly workers who are brothers . They welcome you with a big HELLO & A Smile! We also got the craft Pilsner glass of beer. It was cold , light and tasty ! They have over 5 thousand followers on Instagram, I.see why now and I’ll be a follower too . The pizza was so amazing and I told my husband it smells & looks amazing. I’m gonna add a few photos of our experience abd can’t wait to see your reviews. Check them out The Slice Project in Wattsonville CA. Enjoy!

I ordered the 313 Detroit pizza. If you like deep dish and pepperoni you'll love this. The cheese, sauce, base, herb toppings were all amazing! The ranch is also pretty solid and they charge 75 cents for a cup. I was pretty hungry and felt full after 2 slices (squares.) I would definitely come back and try a New York slice. The service was awesome too. I wish I asked for the woman's name who rang me up and brought my food over. She was awesome and very polite. I look forward to eating here again when work sends me down here in 3 months ✌️

I came from Santa Cruz just to try this place, and it was definitely worth the drive. They serve New York and Detroit style pizzas. The Detroit style comes in whole pies only, in either cheese or pepperoni. The pizza by the slice is only New York style cheese or pepperoni. They have other types of New York style if you get a whole pie, but I wanted to try both, so I went with a slice of New York pepperoni and a whole Detroit style pepperoni (called a 313). Both were EXCELLENT. The New York style has a thin crust with a nice combination between crispy and chewy. Get it if you want a lighter pizza. The Detroit style is thick and soft with a crispy caramelized cheese edge. This is not some fancy pants, wood-fired flatbread type pizza. This is down and dirty, greasy, cheesy goodness packed with flavor. Everything is top notch: delicious crust, great cheese and excellent sauce. And they use the little cupping pepperoni that I love.

The location is simple, clean and straightforward with tables and booths. The staff were very friendly and quick. They even gave me a free slice of a type of pizza they made for themselves that they are thinking of adding to the menu.

Bottom line: straight-up, real, flavorful pizza served in a simple, clean setting by friendly people who are serious about what they do. I hope to make it back soon. Give it a try if you are serious...

I had a great experience today. I’ve been here before and the service was OK. Food has always been great though. But today I was greeted as soon as I walked in, felt very welcomed, was asked how my day was going. I ordered 2 slices of pepperoni. The cashier saw that I was with a toddler so he asked me if I wanted one of the slices reheated and I actually didn’t so that was pretty cool of him to ask. I didn’t want it too hot for my daughter. Also, he asked if I wanted her slice cut into smaller pieces I said wow that would be awesome. Thank you!!!! I just thought the man at the counter was very considerate and it was awesome customer service. My 2 year old daughter normally only eats cheese pizza but today she ate the pepperonis so that says a lot about...
