El Frijolito Restaurant — Restaurant in Watsonville

This place has authentic Mexican food, I always get he chorizo with eggs burrito and the chips with salga. If you want to eat real Mexican food this is the place located in the center of Watsonville next to Cabrillo College. They have everything, they got tacos , tortas , burritos , chiles rellenos, and seafood. If you're a picky person you will not be disappointed they are very clean people and you will get the best customer service. If you have family from another state visiting I recommend you bringing them here because you won't break the bank, this not an expensive place, you will spend less than $100 dollars and everyone will eat something delicious. I had a lunch meeting with my housing case manager here. I ordered a chile relleno plate that included beans, rice, chopped salad, and corn tortillas. The fairly large restaurant was at about ninety percent seating capacity, which shows how popular it is, yet the table service was snappy.

All of the food was very good. Elsewhere, I have eaten overcooked chile rellenos, and ones with greasy cheese. This chile relleno had good flavor, texture, and the right balance of ingredients.

El Frijolito is clean and tastefully decorated. The hard surfaces needed to keep it clean do amplify voices, so it was loud during lunch and somewhat hard to hear my case manager, but she knew that ahead of time and picked a table in the corner.

The Bean! It's one of the treats that I enjoy visiting when I'm ever in the area. The owners are friendly and the food is fantastic. I brought my son here about 3 weeks ago and he enjoyed the food, the same food I used to enjoy in my earlier days when I used to live in town. Things are different now because of the Covid thing- The hole in the wall has been temporarily shut down and now you have to walk around to the front entrance of the restaurant. There you get in line with social distancing protocols put in place of course and then when you get to the front you place your order and they give you a number.
