El Volcan — Restaurant in Watsonville

I used to come to this place often but I had encountered an incident where the employees DID NOT want to give us our food because they forgot to give us the receipt, at first it was no big deal but we told them multiple times they did not give us the receipt and the guy who didn't give us the receipt was just BLANKLY staring at us like if we were crazy and they did not even care and we had to get back in line for them to even acknowledge us mind you we were literally waiting for our food over an HOUR cluelessly with them not securing us a receipt and not even helping us so we asked for our money back and instead they FINALLY gave us the food which was soggy already by the way, anyway don't eat here it is NOT worth the wait, trust me. Watsonville location.. My usual and favorite thing on the menu is the corn quesadilla, I choose the meat filling based on my mood, this time I got both tripas and barbacoa, they portion size on the quesadilla is huge for the price, one will definitely fill you up. I also like "La Volcanica" burger, it comes with fries. Their tacos are great, but do need to be eaten immediately otherwise the taco falls apart because the tortilla is made by hand. Ive tried all taco fillings, they're always cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The salsa is great, it's not watered down like they do other places, try the green salsa if you like heat. I always stop here before heading to Santa Cruz. The tortillas are handmade but it's worth the price. They have a vast range of items on the menu. Everything from tacos, burritos, tortas, hamburgers, and even hot dogs. The meat is always flavorful and the green sauce is amazing. If you're in town you should definitely stop here. The line isn't bad but the food is well worth it. They take their time with the food since the tortillas are hand made but it's definitely worth waiting for. The parking structure is not the best especially during the afternoon so be prepared to drive around for a while. All in all I definitely recommend this taco truck.
