Raul's Burrito Express — Restaurant in Wauconda

I just moved Island lake 10 days ago it's the first time I've been to Raul's burritos. I ordered the king steak burrito 🌯 N it was .... The best steak burrito I've had in years. Perfectly grilled burrito. Mistake was juicy and tender which is most places biggest mistake or steaks usually very chewy I find very few places that I would even order steak burrito. Because it hasn't been done right in a long time when I order it I just ordered chicken from now on but since I've never been here I went with it. And that was a very good choice.nyu yum yum No doubt I will be back if you've never been just give it a try even there mild and their spicy sauce is very good I can find nothing to complain about and I'm generally picky about food because I love to cook so if I go out and pay for it and I can make it better myself that's disappointing I'm no professional I've only gotten my head into learning to cook like three four years ago and I am an amateur but I know there's places where I do a better job myself so I would go to Raul's anytime over anywhere I don't have another burrito place and I don't need one probably if this place up once or twice a week don't want to overdo it but you get that craving immediately it's because sometimes you haven't had good food that you paid for in a long time all right I'm surprised how much I put so I'm going to stop rambling and I recommend highly really...

They don’t know what they are doing. Is it really necessary to write the order down and then double enter it into the machine? The beans were watery and what happened to the red sauce?! It is not spicy like it should be. One of the real staples of the old Raul’s was their red sauce and it actually had spice. The salsa was literally water. I am disappointed and would easily go down the street to Main Street Tacos. Tacos were tasty and that’s the only reason I didn’t give this restaurant 1 star.

Update; This place has gotten way better since when it first opened. Now Main Street Tacos is charging extra for basic toppings. This is now our go-to...
