Pizza and wings were fine but had an unpleasant experience after my order. I ordered for delivery to a friend's house and paid with credit card over the phone.
Upon arrival, the driver saw me put my mask on as I approached him. He put his mask on as he said 'Oh, let me put my mask on' in a rather mocking tone.
I said something along the lines of 'You never know' to which he replied 'I'm not too worried about it'. I am however. I felt that my concerns were disrespected and unaccounted for.
I understand wearing facial coverings during a pandemic is questionable to some, but I expect more respect for patron's safety concerns. People are entitled to their own opinion in their daily lives, but these should not be expressed when delivering services to customers.
I would also like to encourage anyone who orders online with Quonset to not pay with a credit card via phone (I should know better). Two days after my order, I noticed a charge for a purchase I did not make. The bank confirmed the purchase was made with manual credit card entry. Now, I cannot prove that my card was compromised at this establishment, as these things happen. However, I do find it suspicious as my card was never lost, and the number had not been shared otherwise. Just a tip for other customers.
I would expect Quonset to have a better set of guidelines in terms of respect for patron's COVID safety concerns. As to the credit card fraud issue, I cannot say that it was the establishment's fault, but would hope the restaurant has a safe way for customer's information to remain uncompromised when making phone orders. Again, food is pretty good, but customer service could...
Read moreStill one of our favorite pizza places to go, except seems like Pizza's are over cooked and edges are burned more often than not. If you make it a point to tell them not to burn the crust, you have a good chance at a terrific pizza. UPDATE: Last week we wanted our favorite pizza, called and asked for what we normally get. Specifically asked for the Pizza not to be burned. Picked up the pizza, drove away heading home, opened the pizza box and to our amazement, not only was the crust burnt, more than half of the pizza was burnt. We continued home and called the restaurant to complain. Told us to call when we were going to have another one. They would give us a discount. Today we were in the area, and decided to get a Quonset pizza. Told them our name, stopped to pick it up. Got our discounts, this time opened the pizza before leaving the parking lot. Received the absolutely best pizza we have gotten in a long time. Cooked right, not burnt, very delicious top quality of pizza we always received in the decades we have been eating there. Hopefully this will be the normal again. Liked Quonset hut pizza, and Bombers to much to give up on them. If you don't receive what you ordered let them...
Read moreThe service wasn't bad when attended to, but we got there close to closing time, so the staff was more worried about closing the store than checking on their guests; which I get. They worked an 8 hour shift, everyone wants to go home when their shift is over. I sure wish driving my big rig consisted of an 8 hour shift, that would be awesome; but my days run anywhere from 14-20 hours long, it would have been nice to have been waited on, seeing how I wait on all of America and make sure their goods are where they need to be. Oh well, wish in one hand (you know the rest.....) However, I didn't get angry, I still tipped well above 20%, I do it for the kids. Not the kids' fault mom or dad slacked off on their job toward the end of their shift, they still need food in their mouths. No need to scold the staff, just let them read this so things might sink in. Everyone needs to push past that 100% effort at work. Even if you don't like your job, you may be effecting more than just yourself, so do it and have pride in what you do. Thank you, I...
