Susan’s Sassy Sweets — Restaurant in Waveland

I was panicking looking for a pretty cake that would fit my little girl’s party theme. I knew it was too late to place an order for a custom one, and I knew whatever I did find was going to cost me a kidney….. I was so wrong!!! I sat at the stop sign, saying a quick prayer and trying to decide right or left as I began my hunt. Susan’s Sassy Sweets was the thumbnail that caught my attention and YA’LL…. She was the answer to my prayer!! I called her and she was amazing from start to finish. I drove down to the shop to get an idea planned out with her help, and hoped that something would be achievable and she made it all happen and more. She immediately agreed to do a custom cake even though she had only 2 days until I needed it picked up. Her professionalism and her compassion are unmatched!! She also fit in 12 custom gourmet cupcakes, and a dozen custom rice crispy treats. She went all out! It was like meeting a friend instead of an employee, she was knowledgeable, personally making sure she knew exactly what I liked and didn’t like. She ended up knowing exactly what I wanted when I was unsure.she’s sweeter than the sweets she makes..And you can’t beat her prices- seriously. The day I came to pick it up I was absolutely blown away!!!! Down to every little detail and it tastes delicious! My daughter loved it until the last piece, the look on her face said it all. Let me start off by saying, the establishment was very clean, neat and nice. The staff and owner was super friendly, she listened well and really made sure she had all our details correct and what we wanted she clearly understood. Now let's talk about her amazing cupcakes. OMG, I don't know where to start!!! The family loved the cupcakes and they were ON POINT, YOU HEAR ME!! The icing was sweet, however the hint of saltiness in the batter really set her cupcakes apart from everyone else. I truly indulge in my Jazzi cupcake that was stuff with fudge. The fudge wasn't overly sweet and had the right hint of sweetness. The batter is to die for, I could just eat the batter without icing lol. Her batter definitely reminds me of my grandmother batter (don't worry my grandmother won't see this review). Just writing this review my mouth is watering lol. We ordered a birthday cake and I can't wait to see it Saturday and taste it. I am amazed by the time and love they put into the cupcakes. Best bakery in town. Whatever I ask for she is always on it!!’ Very professional and always very kind. If I contact her and she is busy she always gets back to me as soon as she can.
