Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Waxhaw

We could have ordered at a sit down restaurant for the price we paid. $35 for 2 entrees and a drink. It was our first time there and there is an additional charge of $1.75 for each queso and around $4 for each Guacamole, which we didn't know about. According to the menu salad bowls include guac and queso in the cost. We were looking for some keto friendly options and the server had no idea what we were talking about like she had never heard the word 'keto' before. For someone who has never been in the restaurant it is confusing as the menu is so basic and doesn't tell any information about each entree and what is included. The server went to the kitchen and brought back a menu card with 2 keto friendly options listed. We felt like we had no time to ask about keto options because there were ppl behind us in line. The server did not look interested in being there. She just said that ppl just come to the counter and tell her what they want in their order but other than that she did not know anything. My husband refused to order because of the service and how complicated everything was becoming so I just ordered for 2 out of the 3 of us. Probably our first and last time at Chipotle.

Also Chipotle is suppose to offer a lime cauliflower rice. I asked about that option and the server said that they NEVER have that. She said I must be thinking of some other restaurant she mentioned that I never heard of. Ppl are paying premium fast food prices to have healthier options and the things they advertise are not even available in...

This Chipotle location is awful! With a menu as simple as Chipotle’s, it’s hard to mess up an order, right? Wrong. My first experience was an online order. I picked up the order, got home and realized 3 of the toppings were missing. I returned only to be told the reason the items were missing is because they had ran out of them. Seriously. The employee wasn’t apologetic and was unfazed…like perhaps it’s something they do all the time…slip half made burrito bowls into customers’ bags, that is. I should have learned my lesson but gave the place another chance. I ordered a bowl with honey chipotle chicken. The chicken on the line had almost run out and looked a bit dry. I asked the employee if the chicken was fresh. She said, “I don’t know, I just got here,” and stared at me like I was boring her. Mind you, a staff member was less than 10ft away, cooking chicken. I didn’t have the energy to argue, I was hungry, and in a hurry so I just went with it. I took it to go and it was terrible. I’ll never eat here again.

However, my daughter ordered from there tonight and paid for guacamole on the side. When she got home, no guacamole. To make matters worse about this location is that some of the employees need training in customer service. When a customer walks up to the counter, they should be greeted or at least acknowledged. Both times I went inside, I had to get someone’s attention to help me even though several of them were near the counter shooting the...

I'm going to be generous with 3 stars because frankly the food is fantastic. I also recognize what restaurants are up against these days with finding good help or people actually interested in working.

The main gripe was that I had ordered a pickup for 9PM. Showing up at 9PM I get a response at the window that seemed frustrated "they're working on it. Pull up." So I did to what I could only assume were the 4 parking spaces assigned to online orders.

15 minutes pass. Nothing. But I notice nobody is coming out to give anyone anything in the fully populated spots. So I finally go inside, ask a gentleman if our order is ready as at this point walk-in would have probably been faster. The order was ready so I asked "just for the future, I was parked out there for about 15 minutes. Was I expected to come in to get this or how does this work?"

"You can come in or stay. It doesn't matter."

..but it really does matter as this is not one of those "easy come easy go" things while waiting on an order. The accuracy of the order was right. The food was good, maybe slightly cold but good. I'm just not sure how they operate there. But I'm not sure they entirely know either.

I'll likely go back because on a previous visit it was good. Maybe it's because they're still new. There's definitely room for...
