Fell in love with these earrings on site as they appear to be stacked three earrings with one post. I did not try them on in the store out of respect not to contaminate them because that seems like the right thing to do. I tried them on as soon as I got home. I put the first pair on the right ear and loved them so immediately put on the left ear and realized that they were both going the same angle so they looked ridiculous. The right angled inward as they should and the left side needed to also angle inward to create the right effect. I was so disappointed because I loved the way the right side looked, but could not wear them due to the left side being the exact same as the right and not creating the correct look. I went back to the store to try to exchange for another pair as I assumed this was an error by someone else trying them on or maybe a manufacturer error. The girl at the store said there was nothing she could do. They were final sale and there were no other pairs and that they were meant to be this way basically calling me a liar. I’ve worn these type of earrings for many years and I know this is not how they are meant to be. I searched for hours to try to find the exact pair to prove her wrong, but I cannot find them online. My mom and I shopped there yesterday and spent hundreds of dollars at the store and to not take back a pair of $20 earrings or give store credit to make a customer happy is completely unprofessional in my opinion. I got opinions from several people who saw them in my ears and said I was 100% right and they should’ve taken them back even though they claim they told us jewelry is final sale which my mom and I do not recall. This is so unfortunate as everything in the store is beautiful and the way that I was spoken to today over a $20 pair of earrings was absurd. I will never shop here again and neither will my family and they’ve lost several customers. It has NOTHING to do with the money. It’s about the principal and keeping the customer happy and looking at the...
Read moreReceived a Christmas gift from my mother which was purchased from Southern Nest in Indian Land. Mom has purchased many items from this store in the past. Went back to exchange the item, and was told there are no returns of holiday items. When we explained that we were not looking for a refund but an exchange or store credit, the woman in the store merely repeated "no returns of holiday items", and was a bit belligerent about it as well. As a business owner myself I do understand the importance of bottom line, however understand the much more important aspect of customer service. I am posting this with the hope that this small business owner realizes that it is making a mistake by having stringent, antiquated, and unfriendly exchange policies...however in the meantime it has lost one loyal customer in my mother as well as us as potential customers. In a world of too many corporate stores and not enough family stores, it saddens me to recommend to anyone reading this post to take your business elsewhere until a time this small business owner re-examines its policies as well as its treatment of its customers, both...
Read moreHorrible service. I specifically went to this store to buy some gifts but when I entered the only 2 associates were talking with another customer. After that customer left they remained at the cash wrap talking to each other as I slowly walked past them a couple of times shopping. When that customer left I was the only one in the store for a little bit and still NEITHER of the 2 associates (one named Meghan) greeted or spoke to me. Giving selective service isn’t ok when there are many customers like me that have money to spend. Interestingly enough, FOUR customers entered not long after me and all were greeted. I had to approach & ask one of the associates what her name was before walking out. Ridiculous &...
