The Habit Burger — Restaurant in South Carolina

We ordered by calling ahead for pick up, the lady who answered the phone took half my order then placed me on hold for 10 minutes, that should have been the first red flag, then another lady answered the line and told me I had to begin my order again. Placed our order for 6 people when the time to pay came she kept saying my card was not going through, weird because that was my debit card and I knew there is money in our bank account, finally I gave her my husband’s debit card number, that went through. I’m checking the bank today and what do I see?! 5 charges for the lunch we had on the January 1st. Already has been disputed with the bank since I called back the number were I placed the order and was told they could not help me to call their corporate office in CA. Not only that but when we picked up the order, which clearly was posted in the ticket as I ordered it, every single burger was wrong, they did not follow specifications clearly stated in their ticket attached to the pick up order. I was hopeful but it was truly a disaster. I don’t like giving bad reviews but please beware if you are ever ordering over the telephone for pick up, their online order feature is not yet working. We ended up paying over 200 dollars for an uneatable lunch. I sent a message to corporate and left a message but haven’t heard from them I disputed all charges...

The ,# 1 burger combo had lots of lettuce and a big slice of tomato. It had a piece of cheese if you ask for it. The meat reminded me of the old TV commercial with the little old lady saying where's the beef. There was not enough beef on the sandwich to even taste the so called flame cooking. It might as well been called a baggy burger. The fries and onion rings were great The sweet tea was very watered down. We ordered one burger without Unions and one with unions and they both came without onion. They had a dab of mayonase on one side only but the waitress got us some in a little cup. She was a hard worker and tried to take good care of the customers. There were at least 6 people supposed to be working in the kitchen but they were busy laughing and standing around so it took a long time to get your order. The table arrangement is so bad that it was hard to find a place to eat because a lot of the tables were occupied by single people Using them. Other people that had 3 or more in there party had to pull tables together. They were crowded since they were newly opened but they only had on person taking orders. The picture in there as is not what you get. We are the fries and onion rings and the burgets in the trash. I will check back to see if they change. If not I will get better meal at a regular...

Have to agree with some of the existing reviews: PROS: Food seems to be prepared at time of order Love the toasted bun Service and staff were friendly CONS: The wait was VERY long (~20mins for a hamburger and fries) .. w/ very few people in the place and a couple of cars in line at drive through The fries were Ok.. could've used a bit more cooking and a some more salt (I'm NOT a salt fan, but the fries seemed to have no salt at all) The burger(s) were a bit undercooked, but Ok for me As another reviewer pointed out, the burger came out wrapped in paper, I used the tray, but if you had more than one person, it would be very messy IMHO, w/ 1+ hr to closing & for the amount of folks in the place, the restaurant should've been a bit more "clean" (i.e. floors swept, tables wiped, etc.) -- though will say that as i was leaving, one of the staff members was sweeping the floors.

That said, the staff deserves kudos for customer satisfaction. When I received the food, they gave me a coupon for a free burger due to my long wait. The burger was prepared fresh, w/ a nice char, and didn't taste like a fast food burger (love the toasted bun; added a good crunch.. a nice touch). Will go back and...
