Zaxbys Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Waycross

The food is fine. This review is strictly about the customer service at this location. To put it short, it’s horrendous.

The past two visits to this location have been a total joke. The first visit the employees didn’t put straws in the bag or hand them to us. We noticed when we left. Now typically this wouldn’t be an issue however at the time we went, the lobby was closed so when we went to the door to try to get straws without realizing the lobby was closed an employee who looked directly at us then walked away. No acknowledgment. Now I understand from working in fast food restaurants that when the lobby is closed you typically don’t open the doors for security reasons however the lack of acknowledgment is absolutely baffling. So off back through the drive thru we go JUST FOR STRAWS.

This second visit has me absolutely livid that there are employees who are paid to give customer service that do not do so. And I’m not asking for over the top service but looking at the customer in disgust when handing the drinks is absurd. Why is this the employee handling customers? Then giving a drink and card at the same time and again giving a look of annoyance and disgust as I’m not grabbing my drink from her quick enough is absolutely unacceptable. Now the real kicker is when I was receiving my food from this person, not only did I still receive zero eye contact, she actually turned her back towards me.

I’m appalled to say the least because this isn’t the first zaxbys I have been to. I have been to several. But this is the first zaxbys I have received such awful service to leave a review.

I was reading all the reviews and I'm shocked. This chicken is the best chicken in Waycross hands down. It's juicy tender and mouth-watering to your taste buds. It brings you to this place where I can't explain in till you actually take a bite of their chicken. It's like taking a bite of a Snickers bar when you're very hungry. First you start off as a very cranky person, you leave as if you won a million dollars. Am I over exaggerating? Definitely not, go find out yourself and be sure to invite a friend. It's not a solo experience it's definitely a family experience. I also purchased cheesecake here from a young man by the name of Nicholas caiazzo. I want to thank Zaxby's for allowing him to be there. He put a cherry on top of our experience. I hope I see you guys again, I hope I see him again...

Always greeted warmly. They pay pretty good attention as we place our order, asking questions to make certain, then repeat it back to confirm. It seems to take a little long sometimes but it is nice to receive correctly what I ordered. There's been a couple of times I was certain our order got lost in the kitchen. The wait was ridiculous, but the food was hot and good when we finally got it. The selfserve drink dispenser is nice. I like flavored teas and I can mix what I want at this dispenser. We like all the zalads, and they split it for us, giving us a good, adequate healthy portion of good, healthy food. Then I add those amazing chips and enter food heaven. The whole restaurant, inside and out, is clean and attractive, and the restrooms are clean...
