McDonald's — Restaurant in Wayland

My wife made a special trip to get me a grilled bacon ranch salad. When she got home I put their ranch dressing that they put in the bag on the salad. The dressing tasted sour, the date on the packet said August of 2018. I took one more bite to make sure it wasn't a peice of lettuce, it wasnt the lettuce. I called them they said I don't know how that could happen those are good for a month. She then asked for my name so that she could give me a replacement plus another value meal for my trouble. Everything sounds go so far right. So about 4 hours later when I am not busy, my wife and I head back with the salad and dressing packet. I go up to the counter and tell the young lady what I was there for, so she then asked for someone in back, but it seemed they told her to get someone else so She did. That lady came over, I told what happened and my name, she went to the back. When she came back and said they had no record of me calling. She asked who I talked to, I never got the persons name but I told her I could go out to the car and get my wife's phone, which I called from, and she could see when I called and she could figure it out from that. She became rude and said no she would replace the salad. I said ok, I wasnt happy with the tone I was getting so I told her that this is the third time at this McDonald's that i have had a problem with my order when i got home and called, they said they would take care of it the next time i came in, they took my name and every time when i go back they have no record of my calling. She then tried to make ME feel guilty by telling me that she could get in trouble for doing this without any documentation. I said so your telling me that you will get in trouble for someone else's mistake, I can go get the phone to prove I called your number and talked to someone here for some time. She said no that's not what I'm saying. I said no that's exactly what you said, just give me the salad. I am done with this McDonald's, and done with all McDonald's unless I have no other option. Don't go to this location, there is a little ceasar, taco bell, Jimmy johns, burger king and Hardings deli within eye shot that I have never had a...

If you come to the City of Wayland, MI location, you might have seen me cleaning tables, bathrooms, sweeping, polishing, or stocking in the lobby. I know I'm talking about my own co-workers, most of whom are my friends, so I'll say what may matter to those of you who are reading this. My restaurant's decor is the first thing you'll notice upon walking inside. We have artificial trees decorating the place as well as an island in the lobby. Our food is supposed to be like any other McDonald's, and our managers are great at trying to make up for mistakes made by the crew during ordering or cooking. I don't think most people realize it, but McDonald's has sales too. Take the $1.00 any size coffee or soda as an example. We do have Vegetarian options. If you want a salad with no chicken or beef, we'll make it as a special request. Best time to get a quick meal to go varies, but a burger at 3:30pm should be perfectly quick. Breakfast before church on Sunday is a great time to come and eat because there are fewer people in the store. Most of the local clientele are friendly, but those who are not are usually from out of town. Sometimes, we are short-staffed, but we're still accurate. It just depends on who is working. There are some McDonald's that are better, and some that are worse. We are a corporate-owned store. Come check us out!...

I opened up the McDonalds app on my phone and ordered breakfast before I left my home. The app is fairly easy to navigate. I liked that I was able to customize my order. As of this writing, the app will go to a blank screen and hang when you put in the order. If you close out, and have notifications turned on, you'll get a message that the order was placed. (I do hope they fix this bug soon) When I got there, I parked in one of the pickup spots, opened the app again, and checked in. It is at this point your card will be charged. About 5 minutes later, a McDonalds associate came out with my order. The workers at this location are some of the friendliness ones I've seen. Unfortunately, there are not enough of them. The wait time may be longer than I had, and the hours that they are open are in flux. In all, not a bad way to get my McDonalds fix.🙂
