I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at "In the Drink Restaurant," and it was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I walked in, I was met with a barrage of rudeness and inappropriate behavior from the waitstaff. The waitresses seemed more interested in talking about tips than actually providing service, and their behavior was utterly disgraceful. They shamelessly shook their bottoms at elderly women, which was not only unprofessional but deeply disrespectful.
As if the horrendous service wasn't enough, the food was equally terrible. The menu at "In the Drink" read like a culinary disaster in the making. I started with the "Mystery Meat Surprise," which lived up to its name. I couldn't quite identify the meat, but it tasted like a regretful blend of rubbery shoe leather and cardboard. The "Limp Lettuce Salad" was a sad excuse for greens, drenched in an unidentifiable and overly sweet dressing.
For the main course, I made the mistake of ordering the "Soggy Shoe Sole Steak." The meat was overcooked to the point of being inedible, and the side of "Mushy Potato Mash" tasted like they'd been left out for a week before serving.
The worst part of the evening was the invasion of squirrels. Yes, squirrels! They were coming in and out of the restaurant as if it was their personal playground, pouring their own alcohol from the bar and causing a commotion. It was chaos!
Adding to the nightmarish atmosphere, a group of 50 people suddenly stormed into the restaurant, wielding golf clubs and attacking anyone in their path. It was like a scene from a horror movie, and the staff did nothing to intervene. It was genuinely terrifying and completely unacceptable.
I cannot stress enough how terrible "In the Drink Restaurant" is. The experience was beyond awful, from the obnoxious waitstaff to the inedible food, squirrel infestation, and violent patrons. I strongly recommend staying far, far away from this establishment if you value your safety and sanity. It was a night I will never forget, but for all the...
Read moreI just had the worst experience at “In The Drink restaurant bar” in Wayne NJ. The night started out great meeting friends and sharing our table with new friends who didn’t have reservations. Then things quickly changed…. We had reservations for 5:30 and at 730 were asked by our waiter to leave by 7:55 as he brought the drinks we ordered ! We complained to the manager about this and were told that we were notified by text and when we were seated that we would have to leave by 8:00. Not true… nothing was noted in the confirmation text nor did the hostess say anything when we were seated. All around us people who were there before us were not asked to leave. We asked about this and the manager and hostess said we “randomly” ask people at tables to leave….huh? I guess the other tables’ bar tabs were exceedingly higher than ours…..could that be why we were the “random” table asked to leave! Not only was this inconsiderate but the manager and hostess were extremely rude. We will never return to this place given the way we were treated. Horrible service, treatment and favoritism and GREED Also, a member of our group was in a wheelchair and no consideration was given to her to gain access to the patio except for wheeling her through the mulch. Not acceptable. essentially they sold us alcohol and were fine with us leaving within minutes of consuming it so they can sell more drinks to the next party. Wonder how many people are driving drunk immediately after leaving In the Drink. Will definitely not return. Will definitely tell all we know not to patron this establishment who puts money before their customers safety...
Read moreWell Tonight was my 3rd visit here to hear my favorite band on your beautiful patio The food and service were nothing like the last visits. Not sure why you wouldn’t have a manager on site either on a Friday night with an event scheduled I’m very disappointed in the service and the fact that the food was so bad tonight I ordered the fajita and we’ve had it two other times here before and both times were excellent and tonight it was absolutely flavorless. It had NO flavor and we also ordered the nachos which were so good last time, but had again today, they were missing more than 75% of what was on them last time so it was just a total disappointment not to mention the fact that when I complained about the food, they told me they couldn’t take it off the bill AND no ONE else was complaining about the fajitas… That really upset me.!!. This is not how Customer Service works in a restaurant, you either offer them something else or you take it off the bill, instead they told me they couldn’t take it off the bill but they were going to charge me half price because we ate half (we did not) This is not how that works in a restaurant, so I think you have to reevaluate possibly coming here or at least eating here It’s a beautiful golf course thou I can’t imagine why they would keep saying they were short staffed and it wasn’t their fault Very unprofessional and obviously it’s an unpredictable place to be having dinner BY THE WAY An employee named JOYCE CAME OVER AND APOLOGIZED thank goodness Cause I’m so sad about this experience Back to bar rescue or find better...
