I have been there 2 times over the past 3 or 4 years, and the sushi used to be fresh. Last night I ordered the Wayne roll as usual, expecting it to be delicious but something was off. I kept trying to figure it out, and asked them for a fresher cucumber. It still wasn't good, but because I was straving, I ate them. Totally my fault for not sending it back (which I usually have no problem doing), but it was clear I was unhappy, and instead of offering something I might like, they came out with some unhealthy imitation crab dish that I turned away. They could've taken off the side of avocado that I asked for at that point, hinting it might make the entree taste better. But no, I was charged over 3 dollars for that. The owner tried explaining to my friend that the reason the tuna was darker was because of the cut, but that's a lie - tuna always turns darker when aging. I would've given 2 stars, but I ended up with intestinal cramps that night. Never going back.

I was pleasantly surprised by their Korean tofu casserole (soondubu) and generous sashimi sizes. My friend introduced me to this restaurant which is one of his favorites. On his recommendation I ordered their tofu casserole and we split an order of their lunch sized sashimi. My basis for comparison and favorite soondubu go-to is usually in Fort Lee but I was pleasantly surprised by their option here. Tofu was a nice texture, though I wasn’t offered the option to change the default spiciness (to be fair, I forgot to also ask). I’m not an expert in sushi but usually look for price to food ratio and that the fish doesn’t have any strong smell. They provided large sizes of sashimi that seemed decent. Pricing seemed typical for Japanese food nowadays. Parking is plentiful as they’re part of a strip mall. Now I know they’re here!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I don’t even know where to begin when it comes to Lee’s Sushi! I have been coming here for the last couple of years now and let me just say you are in for such TREAT! I frequent here at least once a week for their sashimi and sushi. Remind you, everything on their menu is INCREDIBLE (it isn’t just sushi). They import some of their sushi straight from Japan and let me just say, it is some of the freshest quality that I’ve found in NJ! Steve is the owner and one of the primary reasons I keep coming back ( Their staff couldn’t be sweeter and I feel right at home every time I step into the restaurant ) You know you’re in for a treat when their staff is as warm and welcoming as they are! If you haven’t been here before or it’s just been a while. RUN, DON’T WALK!

I had the strangest dining experience in 47 years on this planet. We were a party of 6 and our entrees came out before our appetizers. We asked where the apps were and they said they would be right out. 2 minutes later, here are our appetizers. That was a first but it gets better. My wife ordered a combo with bbq shrimp, a california roll and dumplings. She asked to make the California roll a spicy California roll. When her entree arrived the plate had a regular California roll on it. Then they put down a seperate side plate with a spicy California roll. We were thinking they thought she wanted an additional spicy California roll. No big deal. 5 minutes later, after she starts eating, the manager and server walk up to the table, pick up her entree, say "we made a mistake". They literally took the plate she was eating right from under her nose. 2 minutes later they brought her entree back without the California roll on it!!!! They gave it to someone else after it was sitting on our table for 5 minutes!!!! I will never eat there again. I cannot imagine what they are doing in that kitchen. They took a plate off of our table, removed food amd gave it to someone...

I have been a frequent customer for years. I have brought many people here from all over, and the food has never disappointed. The atmosphere could use an update, but it is clean and that is what matters most. As far as delivery, they have forgotten my order on multiple occasions. I had to call back after waiting for an hour when I was told it would be 15-25 minutes, then it arrives in 10 minutes and it is cold. I can look past that, as I live close and don’t mind just dining in. However, watch out for the waiter who asks you if you are tipping. (I always do, even though his service didn’t deserve it.) Have had him on multiple occasions and he always asks about the tip. He is a cold and overall very unfriendly and inattentive waiter. Have no complaints about any other of the waiters, I have always had a positive experience besides having him. He needs to be talked to about his etiquette, I have never had any waiter ever mention a thing about tipping. Tipping is not required and he is lucky I gave...
