May 9, 2024 - For all you “ Early Birds” who enjoy HOMEMADE baked goodies ! This is the place !
I’m new to this area, while waiting on my car inspection, I walked next door to this quaint little Bakery only opened last year ( October 2023) . I met the owners, Tammy & Elizabeth. . . who shared their story of starting up a their bakery business. Wasn’t crowded, but should be. . . I tried their blueberry muffins with OJ.
What a surprise, I mentioned to Tammy how delicious her blueberry muffins tasted! Couldn’t believe they tasted exactly like the muffins from Maine! Small Zesty flavored blueberries. . . She said I was her first customer to mention that fact👍🏼😃 The little bit of sugar sprinkled on top reminded me of home !
Folks will find several breakfast items like Brekkie Bowls . . . 3 eggs , with choices for toppings. Add veggies & meats & cheese, it’s a twist on the omelette concept!
Folks will also see lunch items like Quiona Bowls . . . you start with “super grain” with 3 colors ( health reports suggest quinoa can reduce inflammation & lower glycemic index) then add a variety of veggies & meats depending on your preferences Mediterranean or Southwest cuisine! 😃👍🏼
Or pick a sandwich choice . . . Club, California Turkey, Chicken Salad, or Cajun Turkey .
Or select one of their salads. . . My wife and I will definitely return try their lunch options too!
As you climb the front steps to this converted home, as if you’ve been invited to breakfast or lunch by a family member. You walk thru their living room, or den toward the customer counter in the back kitchen. Place your order, then relax at one of the small tables with two to four chairs in another room. . . Your food order is delivered to you.
Very friendly & helpful with any questions. . . Especially if you like the ART on the walls. It’s all for sale by local artists. Walk around, there is a nice library /parlor on the 2nd floor upstairs.
*There must of been 50 blueberries in my muffin that morning! “ Thank you” Tammy & Elizabeth. . . FANTASTIC Maine blueberry muffin ! 😃👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼. I...

16 years of being gluten free, this place is the less than 5% of places I have EVER been to get gluten free right. When you're anxiety about going out to eat with friends or family is due to worrying about cross contamination and being sick for days afterwards, you start to trust places less and less.
For some people, flour in the same pans will cause a reaction. Over 16 years, feeling like you have to ask your list to questions so your loved ones can relax a little bit and enjoy being out is a huge bonus!
CoD doesn't just provide gluten free, they ARE gluten free. This is an important distinction. Their establishment doesn't have gluten. The pans have never had gluten. Same with mixing bowls, prep counters, etc.
Their bread is not Walmart or Costco bread. It's homemade and less than 10 ingredients. NO PRESERVATIVES. If you've ever made your own bread or purchase a $7 loaf that lasts 3 sandwiches, this is a big deal!
The price is high because this isn't a chain or mixed bakery. Someone made that bread fresh. Those cinnamon rolls? I've been making them for years and they are a labor of love. Finding the flour, getting the science of baking correct and consistent, just to have your own pan of cinnamon rolls is a luxury in of itself. What a blessing to know I had safe cinnamon rolls this week I didn't have to make myself.
If you're not gluten free, this all may come as a shock. The menu may seem limited, but 6-8 options each meal is huge compared to anywhere else in this state. Outside of Europe, this is the best gf bakery I've been to that everything is able to be eaten by someone with celiac or high gluten intolerance. Can't wait...
Read moreWent here today for the 1st time and the last time I assure you. We placed an order for 2 sandwiches. 1 hour later we are still waiting on our food when a customer that was outside comes back inside and places 2 sandwiches back on the counter saying these are not what we ordered. So the correct his order then realize the 2 sandwiches were actually our order. Then they attempt to give us the 2 sandwiches that had been given to another customer that had been outside. We refused to take them and asked for a refund which they did do. A piece of advice from someone trained in food preparation, once a customer touches the order, or takes it in their possession you CANNOT take it back from them and give it to another customer!!! Huge health department violation here!!!! The food looked great, the staff was polite and we were looking forward to trying it out as gluten free places are difficult to find. Once this happened I was concerned about the possibility of other safety concerns which may be an exaggeration on my part but when I see 1 violation I question what...
