Really wanted to like this place, but was extremely unimpressed. Service was quick and friendly. Ordered a burger med rare (which I assume is reddish pink center - I have literally worked the line at a burger bar) and it came out the rarest hunk of meat I have ever been served. After a few bites of nothing but red meat, I lost my appetite. I wish I had sent it back, but I didn't have time for them to recook my burger. Worst burger I have ever been served. If you love super rare meat, this is your spot. The free water I was served tasted like river water - after two sips I ordered a beer bc I couldn't take it. The burger came and ruined my beer - so I paid $30 for half a beer and three bites of food.
Also : if the owners happen to read this : your construction of a burger is in violation of multiple burger engineering rules. First- my burger was served with lettuce and tomato below the meat, on top of the mayo - so as soon as I bite down the mayo presses into the lettuce and is ejected from the tower - lettuce and tomato go on top of meat, on top of that the onions and mayo - so that the mayo is held in the rings - ALSO the burger meat needs to sit on a toasted bottom bun, not cold tomatoes - the hot grease from the burger drips into the bottom bun which is toasted to protect it from getting soggy.
I would be happy to sit down with you and talk about the intricate engineering aspects of a burger and how you can improve the way you currently...
Read moreLet me say I was highly disappointed with the place as a whole. I will break it down, I was told many great things from family and friends I was excited to go here with my wife and cousin. The set up is nice , but the death stare from one male waiter and the nasty tone and attitude was not needed. Now I am a proud lesbian and person of color. I do not walk around with a rainbow flag . Now we all walked in sometime after 6pm, I had to use to bathroom and I saw the male waiter 1st I said excuse me may I please use the bathroom, with a nasty attitude he looked at me like why are you here you people don't belong and said with a sigh straight to the back. Ok cool I let it go. Now the place was kind of full but not really, there are two waiters one male and female. The lady was more busy but still trying to handle her customers. A few times we asked the man for water he keeps ignoring us. Then when it was time to go he was asked to bring boxes because our waitress hands were full. Again with the nasty tone and him looking at us with disgust when we ask and then walking away ignoring us. This is 2023 idc who it is no poc should be have to feel discrimination in a restaurant with sub par food or service. I am a chef and would be highly outraged to work in a place with waiter's like this . Black or lgbtq I did not appreciate the disrespect or...
Read moreFood quality / price (value) rating 9.5. The atmosphere is eclectic "burger bar" with a diverse and original menu created by the owner, Mandy. Mandy is a hands-on owner and also owns a large successful deli a couple blocks away where alcohol os also served.. The crowd is local and friendly. Service was excellent, the food was prepared properly, and priced right. They have a Happy Hour Monday through Friday 3:00 to 6:00. I had the "Fun Guy" burger, mushrooms, onion, bacon bits, Swiss cheese, and Angus beef. It was cooked as requested and served with a dill slice and HOMEMADE POTATO CHIPS!!! The wife had the 'Beet This" salad + diced beets, mixed greens, dried cherries, goat cheese and pumpkin seeds. A inique and delectable combination. They offer a limited but well chosen draught beer selection, and tender generous pours of wine and liquor. We split a dessert of Limoncello Vale that was fresh baked, served with a raspberry drizzle and whipped cream. I would come here twice a week if I lived...
