This café is an excellent addition to Waynesboro. The staff is incredibly friendly and they help lend a laid back atmosphere of the café. The interior is charming and has seating for whatever your purpose, including bar seating, dining booths, and plush couches.
I ordered a plain latte, and it was well made. The foam was nice and dense, and the milk was steamed to the correct temperature, as evidenced by the slight sweetness from the lactose breaking down. My only complaint is that it was not poured well. I don't need a work of art, but there should be at least a general pattern to the divide of the foam and espresso crema on the surface of a latte. A simple dot would suffice. But again, I must emphasize that the taste and texture of the latte I received were excellent.
I visited the French Press on a Sunday morning and it was fairly busy. This led to my one significant complaint: the wait time. My friend and I each ordered a latte and a heated pastry and we waited about 20 minutes for it all to come out. I know that this café is trailblazing by opening in Waynesboro and appreciate the fact that garnering enough interest to fully staff the location must be difficult. Additionally, they do keep very long hours, which is excellent, but might be responsible for being a little understaffed during rushes.
Overall I highly recommend visiting the French Press when in Waynesboro, but the owners have some room for...
Read moreThe French Press coffee shop is a hidden gem that offers more than just great coffee—it creates an experience. During our visit, we ordered an iced salted caramel latte with oat milk and an iced dirty chai with almond milk. Both drinks were smooth, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, offering a wonderful blend of sweetness and spice without overpowering the coffee itself.
The atmosphere is where The French Press truly shines. The space feels warm and inviting, decorated with an eclectic mix of cozy chairs, plush couches, side tables, and unique lamps. Artworks line the walls, and musical instruments tucked into corners add a creative, lived-in feel. It's the kind of place where you immediately feel at home, whether you’re diving into homework, playing a board game with friends, or simply relaxing with a crochet project.
There’s a laid-back vibe here that’s hard to find elsewhere. It’s quiet enough for studying but lively enough to feel part of a community. The French Press successfully combines great drinks, a welcoming environment, and a touch of artistic flair. If you're looking for a chill spot to sip, study, or just unwind, this coffee shop is definitely...
Read moreTwo separate things make me give this place a one star. I will start by asking how do you expect to have a successful establishment if you don't have good customer service? I am a Doordasher so I haven't tried the coffee or food but even if its the best in the world it doesnt make up for the fact that no one will acknowledge you when you walk in, you wait forever to get seen and then they take their sweet time to get the order done. By sweet time I mean they disregard that I have an order that im picking up and they continue doing something irrelevant like unfolding napkins. My second problem with this is that my friend told me that exact thing. He walked in alone one day, and the lady was just sitting there doing whatever she was doing and didn't look up, didn't say "one moment please, " didn't acknowledge him at all. So he had to walked out. Again I ask the question, how can you run a successful establishment with horrible...
