Very disappointing. Have been to the Jamestown one before, there is no way it's the same owner. The food was WAY overpriced, food had NO flavor. As we were walking in, a mother n father were leaving with their mentality challenged son. We got a table and I noticed a puddle on the floor (table had dishes off but not wiped down). I told the waitress about the puddle, said she'd take care of it. Didnt while we were there.
Paid $10 for one meal that was gonna split with my daughter, figured $10, surely alot of pasta. Brings out a bowl that honestly looked like one of these frozen meals you buy at the grocery store. (Had a , can't think of word, but looked like ...,mind is blank, the shiny stuff u cover food with) the pasta was n that. Appeared all they did was take off paper lid. Bf food same way, plus sandwich was wrong.
Since "puddle" was never taken care of I stood outside just to see if they would, sure enough, wiped table n ppl sat there. The puddle appeared to me it was urine (took pic). I'm guessing the ppl that left after us, their son had an accident.
Got to car, my daughter of course had to go to bathroom. Went back in n the 3 "cooks" were elderly . not that anything wrong with that, just seemed they bought a frozen dinner, warmed it up then charged $10 for it, I can say had we went to Fazoli's woulda had triple the food (pasta) no where close to the price and have favor (plus tons of leftovers), very disappointing. We wont be returning to this one. The one we've been in to Jamestown was 1,000 times bettee. Wish I would have taken a pic of this $10 meal....
Read moreExtremely hateful. On a Sunday evening around 8 pm Gus and his wine drinking waitress (whose age is questionable) stood beating their fist on the bar scowling at our small group sitting at our table quietly catching up. (We had already finished eating and paid). When they saw we were not too bothered by the pounding and scowles they reverted to aggressively sweeping up dirt around our table and agressively flipping chairs slamming them to the tables surrounding us. We did ask if we are keeping them to which they replied sarcastically, "oh, no, stay as long as you like." We were a bit confused about the hostile tone again thinking of the posted closing time as 10pm. I understand the cleaning, I don't understand the Obviously hateful stirring up of dirt, hostile tone and aggressively fighting of the chairs slamming them to the table tops. We were confused as to why the glares and beating of the bar because the posted hours for closing Sunday's is 10 pm. We grew tired of the impolite environment and carried our conversation outside. They shut everything down and left by 9:30 pm. Bentino's was once a business we would refer to friends and was a goto for take-out when we would have large groups in town. We work too hard for our livelihood to spend it where one is obviously not welcome. Never again will I refer Bentinos nor will I spend any hard earned money there. Also, I typically tip 100% of the bill, even if I am not the one buying. A friend bought that night and added a 15% tip. .....there is no way I could drop an...
Read moreBad experience. We came in at 7:30 on Wednesday. The young man seated behind the counter using his phone didn't get up or say hello. The place was empty, the whole town was empty. Four tables and 3 booths. 3 of the tables and chairs were dirty. We had to ask for cleaning. The young man continued on his phone momentarily before looking for a rag. I went to the restroom and there was no toilet paper. When I asked the young lady for paper she immediately took care of it. I said I find this hard to believe that you aren't busy but your tables are dirty and your bathroom is in need of attention. Her response " Go ahead and leave a review on yelp " So under her request I'm leaving a review. I also watched her prepare a salad and use her bare hands without gloves to remove lettuce and other items to create the salad. We are only in town a few weeks a year and always look forward to coming here. Perhaps there are new owners. I don't know, but the price no longer meets the quality, the service is fine between the staff handling their personal time on the phone. No hair nets no gloves. We never saw them wash their hands between touching the broom etc and touching food. There is a huge difference between pride in a product and just clocking in to catch a check. I hope the owners are able to fix this. And if not perhaps the...
