The food is OK, if you order the right thing. Stay away from the beef fajitas. The meat is dry, chewy like jerky and flavorless. Strangely, the beef tacos al carbon, which have a similar looking style of beef, is a much better meat. The enchiladas, which I generally expect to be just "serviceable", do clear that rather low hurdle. Nothing special, but entirely edible. Except for the beef enchiladas, filled with some type of "mystery meat". The nachos ricos are usually pilled very generously, by today's standard, and pretty good. The jalapenos will vary from one day to the next, from spicy and flavorful, to just hot with no other detectable taste. But that's kinda normal if you eat Tex Mex very often. The chips vary from day to day, sometimes good, with lots of "figure", crunch and a bit of the oil to enhance their flavor, sometimes just thin styrofoam-like nothings. The salsa used to be quite good, with complex flavor and thick texture. Now, it's more like it was poured from a bottle of valentina's, then watered down, with a thin and one-note "hot sauce" taste. Service is OK, depending on who you get to serve you. It could be sullen and inattentive, or cheerful and doting. I'll go back, it's a reliable meal and convenient for me, but I won't be excited about it. Overall, it's OK for Weatherford. If I want GOOD Tex Mex, I go...
Read moreStopped in for the 1st time after my wife's doctor appointment. The first indication that it was good was; a nearly full parking lot on a Monday afternoon. The restaurant is spacious and clean and would be suitable for large parties. I would call ahead though for parties larger than 8. The wait staff was exceptional. They were fast and courteous without being intrusive during the dining experience. Any extra needs were handled promptly by our waitress and, the floor manager not only checked with us to make sure everything was alright but, brought more chips and salsa when ours we're depleted. The menu was a little confusing because the dishes were assigned a person's name or number but; a full description of the food was offered under the name of that particular dish. I don't remember the name on the dish I had but, it was 1 cheese and 1 chicken enchiladas with a beef taco. The wife had the Monterey tacos - Puffy taco filled with fajita chicken or beef. Both were served with salad. Portions were ample without being oversized and all was very tasty. Prices are reasonable and we both ate and had iced tea for $40 including the 25% gratuity. I would highly recommend Antonio's if your in the mood for Mexican cuisine in...
Read moreI wish I'd found and tried this place sooner!! The service is excellent, taste is WONDERFUL, prices are great, and portion size is like most Mexican eateries, which is pretty good. I didn't ask but it seems like their chips are made in-house because they also taste AMAZING and not full of preservatives, as does the salsa that I ate too much of, which had the right amount of had and was very flavorful. They also had a spicier green salsa that you have to ask for but it didn't have as much flavor. The food was plated up very nicely and, like I said, just tastes so good. I'll admit that a couple things needed a little more salt but I prefer that to having too much. Also, when I asked for something to put the leftover salsa in so I could take it, they brought me a big thing full of the salsa :)
The restaurant was very good about things concerning the #COVID19 pandemic, like all of their servers wearing masks, appropriate seating and markings on the floor for physical distancing, disposable menus (though unfortunately, and understandably, my parents and I had to share just one), and vigorous cleaning when people left.
Super good, 10/10, will...
