Another amazing meal at Salt! This was our second visit to Salt and we were joined by another couple who've been here with us before. We started out in the Speakeasy with pre-dinner cocktails. The chairs and sofas are real comfortable. There were some people at the bar and that made it pretty noisy in there. But the drinks were enjoyable and the bartender was great. We transitioned to dinner in the small room off the front entry door. We'd reserved the 4-top in the center of the room like we did last time. Perfect spot. Our server here once again was Rian. She is amazing. She knows the menu well and as always is quite pleasant and helpful. We ordered drinks and thought about the menu. Then we ordered appetizers and our meals. The 4 of us ordered as appetizers: - Shrimp Cargo - Scallops - Bowl of Shrimp and Crab Chowder For dinner, we ordered: - Sea Bass plus Wedge Salad plus 4 Coconut Shrimp - Bacon wrapped Shrimp with Grits - Avocado and Crab Salad plus Lobster Mac and Cheese - Beef Tenderloin Medallions The food was amazing and the portions sizes were great. We were too full for dessert and took leftovers home. After dinner, we went back to the speakeasy for a nightcap. Looking forward to our next time at Salt.

So for some of you confused asking yourselves “oh where is it? Theres no signs!” It 100% looks like a house but what most people dont know is it’s a speakeasy! So yes walk into the house number 209 when you find it! Your maps are not crazy! So my folks had the shrimp and clam chowder soup, avocado stuffed with crab meat salad, and i had the steak tip Alfredo pasta. The steak is unbelievable juicy and melts in your mouth and the Alfredo sauce is uber well made! The shrimp and clam chowder was so creamy and flavorful, possibly the best i have ever tasted. Finally, the salad was served with a homemade balsamic vinaigrette that was to die for! The avocado and crab meat were excellent as well! All of the dishes were made with love. Also, if you’re in the mood for an espresso martini, you will not be disappointed i assure you! The portion sizes are perfectly sized so you will leave not feeling like you’re too full. Our waiter Daniel was very nice and gave us so many recommendations. I did say this place was a speak easy as well, so be sure to ask where it is, because it lives up to its name ;). Otherwise, this place was an experience that i encourage you to try! Thank you for an amazing lunch!

My husband and I had reservations for our anniversary. We drove 45 mins to get there only to find out they claimed to not have a reservation for us. The manager said he was the only one there to take the reservation and said he didn’t take ours, we showed him our text confirmation and he said nope, we don’t have reservations, laughable. They said they could seat us at the bar, which would not have been very romantic and I am in recovery so it wouldn’t have been comfortable or wise for me. Thanks Salt for the awesome anniversary dinner.

Odd experience. No signage on an old house off the square. Nice enough on the inside. Excellent food but very small portions. My wife and I excitedly spent over $200 but I left barely satisfied. She had only one drink I had none. I had a dozen tiny gulf oysters to myself, the crab cake to myself, and steak and lobster to myself. The lobster was about 4 to 5 tiny bites (2oz) flooded in a buttery goo. It was good goo though. The steak while excellent also 5 to 6 bites around (3 to 4oz) . My crab cake was ordered at the end of my meal as I was still hungry. My wife ordered a pasta dish and asked for bread and was told none was available. She was brought some small bread wafer which laughingly proportionately complimented the meal sizes. I did not take pics of the plates but please look at pics others posted. The portions are note worthy! if you like a filling meal this is not the place. The only reasonable portions I noticed was noodles and mashed potatoes on plates I saw. Our server wanted to take all our order at once even after I stated we would do appetizers first. She then brought a hand held machine and ran my card at the table before providing a bill where I complete the tip on her machine with her hovering over me. No receipt showing our charges before payment and no print out of final receipt is given. This is crude in any setting let alone upscale. 5 star if you can provide reasonable meal portions, relax the speed in which you attempt to flip tables (we were in and out in under an hour) and get rid of the silly hand check out machine. Give me a receipt printed in some kind of cute presentation like all upscale restaurants i’ve been into provide. This was a first like this for me in a nice place. This could be a 5 star place. The portions and pay out truly ruin it. Easy fix to a...

Ate here the first time last week with friends. The “speak easy” room we waited on our table in was fun and Austin makes amazing hand crafted cocktails that are delicious. You can visit the speak easy without having dinner but it is a small area if you have a very large group. Our group of 6 was seated in a private room and Daniel our waiter was spot on with service. We started with the Blue oysters which tasted very fresh. Hubby had the special of fried chicken with lobster chunks and I had the salad with crab stuffed avocado. Both were filling and we felt just right portion wise. We had a crème brûlée for dessert and it had just the right amount of crust on the top and our friend cheesecake looked amazing we will try it next time. We very much enjoyed our dinner and realized we had been there for 3 hours and not once did the staff make us feel rushed even though we closed the place down. It’s great to have such upscale dining options in Weatherford. I would recommend a reservation and it sits in a house with no sign so you just have to go with the address. The only downside I have is it is very difficult to find parking as we all had to drive around to find a spot and walk back to the restaurant. So I would drop off by the door for anyone not...
