Friends of ours love this place so expectations were high; we walked away disappointed and hungry! Cocktails were good. My husband liked his PEI mussels and I liked my potato artichoke heart soup (although is was served barely warm). We waited a very long time for our food to arrive...we were seated at 6:15 and our main entree did not arrive until 7:30. It was a Friday evening, I don't know if they were short kitchen staff which caused the delay or not. I ordered the pork chop which was very good except it came with ONE new (tiny) potato cut in half and about 1/2 cup collard greens. Just not enough sides! Had I known how stingy the veg servings were, I would have gladly ordered a separate side or salad. For a $32 entree I expected more. I was too hungry to order a sugary dessert.... If that makes sense to anybody. My husband's walleye was good but again served with 3 asparagus stalks and 1/2 cup mashed potatoes. We are willing to come back...to try different entrees with extra sides (we should have ordered the roast beef which looked fabulous). Full disclosure: I hadn't eaten all day and was quite famished. The restaurant interior is charming...although tables a bit too close together...

I was so excited to try this restaurant. I love the concept and the menu had a variety of options. From the moment we were seated it went downhill. To begin we were told there would be a wait on our drinks because they were out of glasses. Service was lackluster and unattentive. Not once were we given a refill or offered a refill on drinks, no plates were cleared from our table at any point. We received an appetizer before we even had water. The food was 50/50. My husband's eggs were grossly undercooked, with egg whites running across his plate. My tomato soup had a potato in the bottom of it. Pancakes were on par with Dennys. The Strawberry orange juice was literally orange juice with small chunks of strawberries. The goat cheese app was delicious and if any of the other dishes were on this level I would give it another chance; however, the mediocre food combined with poor service we have no plans to return. I also overheard a table ask for a small modification of an item and was told absolutely no substitutions/modifications per the chef. In today's world of allergies and this restaurants seemingly forward concept, I was surprised...

I have driven by this place a million times and never eaten there until tonight. I can count on one hand how many meals I've had that made me stop and go "Wow!" Every part of our meal this evening was simply perfect. The salmon pastrami was a unique take on bagels & lox that will forever make me dissatisfied with the traditional bagel & lox! The crab cakes were perfectly crispy and flavorful. We shared the pot roast with polenta and the mac n cheese. I don't know if I'll ever bother making pot roast again. Every dish was so good! And our cocktails were also delicious and generously poured. The atmosphere is cozy and the wait staff helpful and friendly. We honestly expected this place to be a little pretentious, but it was great. We dressed casual and felt perfectly comfortable. I saw another reviewer say that it's not kid friendly, and I don't see why it wouldn't be. We wouldn't bring our kids here simply because they wouldn't ever want to eat my...

Our first time at restaurant. The restaurant is tucked away towards the end of the street. Arrived around 7:45pm on a rainy Thursday evening. Restaurant wasn’t crowded so they seated everyone in one section. The restaurant has an eclectic 90’s vibe which was cool. We started with soup and we shared the Ozark Forest Mushroom and Asparagus Soup and the Chilled Roast Beet with Black Bean Soups. I enjoyed the flavors of the Ozark soup. It had lemon and arugula. The soup was brothy with a lot of depth. The beet soup surprised me on how great it tasted. The soup was creamy and it had goat cheese crème on top which added to the richness of the soup. Then we shared the Big Sky Cheddar Burger cook medium. The burger came with a brioche bun which was slightly toasted. The burger meat was tender and flavorful. Jim was our server and he did an excellent job and we appreciated his guidance with ordering.

Craving shrimp and grits so I decided to give the place a try as a close by option. Called ahead to make sure it was available. The call taker said she wasn’t familiar with a shrimp & grits but that they did have didn’t have a NOLA shrimp & polenta on the menu. Tomato/Tomahto…. I placed the takeaway order. Upon arrival the tab was $14 and some change. After a few moments the ordered was handed to me in a bag with no napkins or utensils. I looked inside & looked at the hostess who took a call and ignored my perplexed glance. Ughhhhh…such a lackluster experience. Nonetheless I get home only to discover a container of oil! Not sauce, OIL! Shocked and appalled, I placed it in compost. Received the aluminum container and carried on with the day.
