I recently visited The Frog Hut and had an absolutely fantastic experience. This charming eatery combines a nostalgic, family-friendly atmosphere with delicious food that keeps you coming back for more.
The menu offers a great variety of options, from classic burgers and fries to unique specials that showcase local flavors. I opted for their signature burger, and it did not disappoint—juicy, perfectly cooked, and loaded with fresh toppings. The fries were crispy and seasoned to perfection, and their ice cream was the perfect treat to top off the meal.
What really stands out at The Frog Hut is the friendly and attentive staff. They make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in and provided excellent service throughout our visit. The outdoor seating area is a lovely spot to enjoy a meal, especially on a warm day, and the overall ambiance is both relaxed and inviting.

Read more7 of us came in and we really enjoyed our selections (minus the milkshake). We had fries, and various hard ice creams—all very good. They serve Perry’s hard ice cream which is excellent.
My issue came with my sons milkshake. It seemed it was 3/4 milk with a small bit of ice cream in it. Several of us tried it and all agreed it must’ve been a mistake. I mentioned it to the server, and she said “that’s just how they are with the hard ice cream”. Offered to add more cookies...(?) I said “it just doesn’t have enough ice cream”. Made me out like I just didn’t understand how milkshakes are made when using hard ice cream. Really?
Went to a place the following week in Niagara that uses the same exact ice cream and the consistency was perfect. We didn’t want to be a problem so my son just drank it. I really should’ve just asked for a refund on it. If you avoid the milkshakes...
Read moreI visited here with my family while we were on vacation, as soon as I saw it I said "we've gotta stop there"
The food was great + the service was fast even thought it was packed! You could tell it was a favorite of the people who lived there.
The staff were nice and the restaurant was covered in thematically appropriate decorations and trinkets.
I got the shrimp Po boy and really enjoyed it, good ratio of meat to other ingredients. The ice cream was also really good, they have 24 flavors of soft serve and I wish I got to try more.
Very reasonable prices, not the best food in the world, but far better than many other restaurants would provide for the same cost. As well, serving some cheap frog legs is a fun curiosity that is a reason in itself to stop for folks who haven't had them.
Should I be back in town, I know I'll be back at...
