I stopped here after camping in the rain for a week in the mountains, all the while kicking myself for not buying the Merrell water-proof hiking shoes i had on my Amazon wish list for years. The shop and the proprietor were amazing. Truly an outdoor woman's fantasy shop. (Maybe men's, too, but I wasn't looking at their stuff.) The shop owner was very friendly and helpful without being pushy, and kindly lead me to sale items first. I bought my Merrells, a beautiful artist-rendered quick dry towel, adorable cabin socks, a beautiful mauve hoody with images of pine tree silhouettes, and a Terramar altitude turtleneck base layer. I had to stop, lest I spend the rest of my vaca $$. So many beautiful temptations. I generally don't splurge, but I figured I'd better strike while the iron was, uh, wet. Shady operation. Do not use this business for star tours. We requested a tour for October 15, 2020. Communication was spotty at best. We finally got through on the phone and paid for the tour, with the understanding that Wild Asaph would cancel in the case of bad sky conditions with no penalty. However, if we as the customers cancelled, we would face a 15% penalty. We needed to make the decision several days in advance or forfeit the entire $90. Meanwhile, we did not receive any written confirmation of payment, as promised, until we asked several times. Great selection, wide variety. Staff member was very helpful, worked with me in choosing just the right hiking boot. He even special ordered me a size to try since I may need a size they don't carry a lot of.
