This is the best ice cream I have had in my long life of eating ice cream. They make it in house and the flavors can vary wildly based on who is making it. I was there 2 days ago and one of the servers (who were both friendly and knowledgeable) said that the cinnamon bun was their favorite. I tried it, as I've never had it from there before, and it taste like biting into a cinnamon roll. Absolutely spot on. I got 2 pints to go.
One of the things I like so much about their ice cream is that it is creamy. Now, I know you'll say "Ice cream is supposed to be creamy!" and you would be right! but I've never had ice cream as creamy as this. It leaves behind an amazing mouth feel that has you licking your lips even as you go to take another bite. I dont know what it is that they put in that makes it so creamy, and at this point I dont care. I'm looking forward to my next visit, and the next after that.
TLDR: This is an adorable and charming place with the best ice cream...
Read moreAtmosphere- 4 stars- located in an old stately two story house on Main Street- this ice cream shop claims to have Homemade Ice Cream. Beautiful inside with hardwood floors and a feel of early 20th century America. There is an old fashioned soda bar in a separate room and ofcourse the ice cream parlor in an adjacent room. Some seating inside or you could sit outside on the front porch and people watch.
Service- 3 stars- young lady behind the counter was friendly but when you pay she flips the payment screen and says if you want to leave a tip you can. This is a pet peeve of mine to be constantly expected to tip and I find it inappropriate to basically ask for one.
Food- 4 stars- not sure if this is actually Homemade ice cream but either way it was still really good. I got the salted caramel Kit Kat which I have never seen. I enjoyed it while sitting out on the...
Read moreWalked up the steps of this creamery and opened the door to find a list of the ice cream flavors. We stood there for a minute to figure out which flavour I wanted and then walked into the back room on the right where three workers were present and delightfully asked if we knew what we wanted. I got the cookie monster flavor and my wife got the raspberry flavor. We got our ice cream seconds later and walked outside. My wife said that it was her favorite ice cream place now for the raspberry flavor. I enjoyed the cookie monster flavor as usual and noticed they put confetti eyeballs on my ice cream to make it look like cookie monster! I thought it was a nice touch and did not want to eat it but it was too good to pass up! Enjoyed coming here and would love...
