So first of all I don’t fault the restaurant for not taking orders online, but they should be aware that their restaurant currently accepts online orders with grubhub and google. They will call you and cancel your order tho because the restaurant only takes orders by phone and inside. Second, service was terrible. I ordered 3 things, chicken fried steak, cheesecake and an orange juice. Only got the chicken fried steak. Also the owner and help would stare at me and my service dog, probably because she happens to be a Pitbull. Honestly it felt like they just wanted to rush me out the door because of my dog. It’s 2024. Expect more ppl to have service dogs and accommodate accordingly. It’s not hard. Neither is taking...

We've been going there for years and from what I have been able to observe is that the quality of service has steadily declined mainly in the afternoon shift. We prefer going in the morning as their staff is a lot friendlier and accommodating than the afternoon staff. The afternoon staff is constantly on their phones and not paying attention when new customers come in or checking up on their existing tables. The food is still good (I haven't had a problem with the food sip far). However, the staff needs work. It is disappointing and sad to say but this this restaurant is not what it used to be customer service wise. They don't make you feel...

Ever since this place changed hands in about 2016/2017, it's become a shell of it's former self. Something that I immediately noticed was that the food quality (mainly of the Quickie and Chicken Fried Steak) had gone down quite a bit, and that took me aback quite a bit. For a place that is mainly known for these two menu items, the quality of them going down was a major disappointment. The atmosphere had also gotten a severe downgrade, becoming less peaceful and quiet and more disruptive and downright annoying. While certain menu items have stayed pretty much the same, the fall of the iconic Quickie and the atmosphere really ended up ruining this...

The TampiqueƱa plate, which includes fajitas, a cheese enchilada, a taco, and two tortillas, was disappointing. The taco meat lacks flavor and doesn’t seem like real meat—it has the texture and taste of soy. The fajitas were extremely dry, tough, and full of tendons. Honestly, fast food chains do a better job. The atmosphere doesn’t help either. The doors, windows, and blinds are so dirty you could write your name in the grime, just like on a dusty car. This place seems to have given up on being a restaurant a long time ago. It caters to "Winter Texans"—visitors unfamiliar with authentic Mexican food. Save your time and money—skip this place.

This place has been around for a long time but I hadn't been there in about 25 years and guess what, even though it's still a hole in the wall, the food, especially the rolls are absolutely amazing! The fresh rolls are like heaven in your mouth. We also tried their enormous cinnamon roll that takes up the entire 10 inch plate and it topped with chopped pecans. Also, I've had the pecan pancakes on another recent visit and they are also scrumptious! Can't go wrong with this place if you want some comfort food!

Had lunch here on Friday, they have really reasonable prices. I Had the parillada for one I think. It was well served everything was really good. Their spicy salsa was excellent. Only thing was they took a while to bring menus for our table, and my coworker's drink had a fly in it. Drink got replaced eitherway. Server only came once to our table but was friendly overall. Would go back again all in all.
