Terrible I will never go back, I went in with a picture of the cake I wanted for my daughters second birthday. This was the second image the first cake I had wanted they were unable to make because it was too complicated for them. I sent them a message on Facebook with the image and then I went in and ordered it. The woman who took the order actually spoke english which is rare to find in this bakery, she took the order and put very little detail on the order form. I then resent the image they had on Facebook to one of the decorators (Diana) and emailed it in so they now had three copies of the image. Well when I went to pick up the cake it was nothing like the picture which had sand and seaweed made of frosting with a small edible image of bubble guppies, the cake I got was an edible image of bubble guppies and nothing else they threw on some yellow swirls on the side and called it good. They even screwed up the screw up the paper clearly said blue swirls. Naturally I got upset and spoke to someone who apparently was in charge or associated with the person who was in charge because the first person they called didn't know english. Which living in the valley is not uncommon but if you run a business you should at least speak both languages or understand them. Anyway the man I spoke too was apologetic and offered me a whopping $10.00 refund on a $40.00 cake, but since only he could do the refund I had to wait until Monday so I said sure I'll see you Monday. We went in on Monday and reexplained the situation but turns out he had just stepped out oh darn our luck because I doubt he would be hiding in the back so he doesn't have to deal with a dissatisfied customer. It's $10 I am not going back for it, and I am never going back to them nor will I recommend this bakery from now on I will be taking my business to Honeys Cakes in Mcallen, and I recommend that anyone who wants a quality product and great customer service...

So I went in a month before my son's birthday to place an order for a 2 tier cake, everything seemed good the girl i spoke to which was the owners daughter in law said she could do it just the way i wanted it. The owner herself had even called me to go by and confirm my order in person. So i paid in full. Come the day of his birthday party i went to pick up the cake and found my self asking "is that my cake? " yeah it was that bad. It looked nothing like they said it would they put little to no effort and to top it off another customer who ordered a cake there as well was also highly disappointed with their work. Well I guess the owner must have known I'd be disappointed because she had someone call her when i got there. When i spoke to her she explained to me that they couldn't do it the way i wanted and that her employees take on too much. I asked her if she had a month and i had stopped by why she couldn't tell me that she couldn't do it so i could find someone else and she didn't have an answer. So no i didn't take it. I got my money back and was left to find an heb that could bake me a simple but very cute cake . They were very unprofessional to me and i will never go order there and make this...

This place was recommended by a friend because their sweet bread is good and it is, we tried it. Not knowing where to order a cake from, since we live in Dallas, we ordered a surprise birthday cake from here. Unfortunately the cake did not come out how I requested. The proportions of the tiers were off, making the middle piece break and crumble and in turn cracked the bottom piece. The top piece was dry and not edible. Baker may have had an off day, but I'll never know. This was a one-time try since we live so far and don't get to visit often. The bakery owner did however make everything right by refunding the price of the cake. Hopefully this won't happen again to them, the staff and owner were very friendly and sincerely apologetic for the outcome...
