Omicron Family Restaurant — Restaurant in West Bend

I’ve been coming to Oma Cron for years and years probably 25 years and today was super unpleasant. I had somebody I’ve never had before and she was so rushed for everything she practically ran up to your booth what can I get for you??’ real quick.. She practically ran Thru everything!!! Everything was super speedy not relaxing at all!!! She seemed irritated that we didn’t order our food right away. When I meet old friends at a restaurant we just want to sit and visit for a while and drink coffee and water and we always tell the red trees will let you know when we’re ready to place our order but this one just seemed irritated by that!! EVERYTHING felt RUSHED!! We finally just ordered so she wouldn’t keep coming back to the table and when we did she just seemed irritable again and when she brought the food to the table she practically just slammed it on the table!! Shorter lady ...small built.. short hair I think..we were in the second row of booths coming in the front door!! She didn’t deserve a tip because she wasn’t a good waitress which surprised me about I am a crown because so many of your waitresses are great!!! Lastly but not least the food was yuck!!! Undercooked hashbrowns with no taste at all and an Denver omelette that was overdone. The toast was hard..I ended up taking most of it home and re-doing it at home... at the end of our stay she seemed a little nicer.. wanting her tip!! Unfortunately the person I was with paid the bill so I’m not sure if she tipped her or not but I can say that if I would’ve grab that bill this one would’ve not gotten a tip at all!!! I’ll think twice about Omicron again..and definitely will request a different waitress!! We realize the restaurants are full and busy and the waitresses are a little bit stressed but Omicron was not full and it was not busy... she was way too hyped And the only time she was pleasant was when it was...

This family restaurant is nothing short of amazing. The waitress that served me, Rhonda, was very friendly. I was in there to eat around 2 pm, for the first time ever. The only time I ever get breakfast is when I can order it out. They are only open until 3 pm each day, but they serve breakfast until then. The minute I knew they still served breakfast, I was ready to order. I gave my order with the way, specified how I wanted it all cooked, but I was still looking at the rest of the menu. Rhonda asked if I wanted to look at the menu while I waited for my meal, and I did want to read it to see what else they had to offer and check the pricing on everything. My meal didn't take much time at all, it was served just the way I asked for the eggs, steak, and potatoes to be cooked, everything was very hot, it tasted fresh and it tasted great, it all was very delicious. On top of it all, it was affordable and well worth the price I paid. There was more food than I would be able to eat. The steak was larger than I expected it to be, and I was given a large serving of hashbrowns. I ended up taking most of this home, and I ate it the next day for brunch again. The tables, chairs, counter tops, floors, and windows were kept up and clean. I have wanted to get into this restaurant to try their did some quiet time, and I'm so glad I had time to finally do it. I was extremely happy with my whole dining experience here and will definetly be back with friends...

This was a go to restaurant for us when we went to West Bend but no more. Their prices have gone up to much and the quality has gone down. They have shortened their menu even to a select breakfast during set hours. One time we had a waffle that had strawberries and bananas that was over $13. It wasn’t worth that. It was more of the fake red gel. Then another time we had these dinners which come with dessert. They give it to you in a to go container from some kind of machine they are not using. And the ground steak was a hamburger patty. Really? The cake was terrible. And the new coffee containers to hold the coffee was cold. If you are going to do something like that then fill it right before the table not whenever it gets old. I want fresh coffee. I saw them fill it and brew a new pot.
