Authentic Mediterranean cuisine that meets all expectations.
Came in on a Sunday night with my girlfriend an hour before they closed and the place was hustling with customers. There was a-lot of big parties and it seemed like the only two top was my girlfriend and I. This was my first time trying a Mediterranean restaurant and after reading the reviews, my expectations were high.
As soon as we walked in, we were cordially greeted and sat by one of the two servers working that night. As I acclimated and settled into our booth— i overheard the conversations happening at the closer tables( was not trying to be nosey) but the common denominator was the foreign language. It was either Turkish or Bulgarian which it is important to note that the servers communicated to them in their language too. It was very cool to see. I was not able to understand a single word they were saying but this immediately signaled to me the great reputation as a restaurant they have amongst their own community which is a green flag.
I felt like a tourist in Turkey as if this restaurant tele-transported me to a Mediterranean city in which only I spoke english and the servers just happened to know english as well.
The menu at a glance was overwhelming but our server helped us by describing and recommending certain dishes after learning that it was our first time there.
We ordered their famous Turkish coffee which was like an espresso shot but with a thicker consistency and a layer of a thin foam at the top. The only downside was the portion size which was literally the size of a shot.
We then ordered appetizers and for that we ordered hummus and rolled cheese pie.
The hummus came with their baked-in-house bread which came with a side of olive oil topped butter and it absolutely hit the spot and was a perfect precursor to the amazing main entree that followed. The bread was filling, fluffy, and very well combined with the hummus. Needless to say we wiped the appetizer plates clean.
For our main entree we ordered the chicken kebab and the beef kebab medium rare.
These two entrees over delivered and outlasted all of my expectations. The meat on the beef kebab was tender, juicy, and TV- commercial kind of crisp. Cannot remember the last time i had such a great steak.
The chicken kebab was also very well cooked and it had that golden color on the outside but it felt as if it melted in your mouth as soon as you took a bite. FREAKING DELICIOUS!
Both entrees came with a side of rice and salad which was very filling and the perfect amount of protein and carbs. Very healthy which made this experience even more enjoyable and characteristic of a Mediterranean diet!
We were so satisfied and full that we couldn’t fit in a dessert but next time around i will try their very own special baklava which almost all the tables around us ordered after their meal.
I will recommend and certainly come back to this hidden gem in northern Cincinnati

Upon arriving we were told we did not have a reservation. But, upon revealing that we did, a wait was incurred until they could seat us. The table that was provided was dirty and we asked for a replacement. It was denied and the waiter insisted the table was clean. Rather than to cause issue we attempted to clean and took our place at the table. A request for water was made and an extended wait incurred . We asked for water and ordered our food. and we waited 30 min. I went to the kitchen because we yet had not received water and no server came to help us. So another server brought us water. The food was served. When replacement water was was requested we spoke to the server Evren who was irritated that we needed water. When we asked for the check . Evren produced the check, but tore off the portion that revealed his name. Another server provided his name . He had included an extra $50 for service on the check and that portion was refused to pay. Upon this point Evren had called someone on the phone and passed the phone to me that person on the phone said he was the owner of the restaurant. He said for us not to come back to his restaurant. We question if this was really the owner? We had eaten there before and had a good experience ,but this was without question, a very bad terrible...
Read moreWent for lunch today. Food was pretty good but our waiter was very rude to me. When I asked for chicken kebab on a Greek salad without tomatoes and onions he replied “Why even get the Greek salad then?” Then I was served the Sultan’s Salad instead which had additional things I didn’t like, but I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it so I picked off the extras and continued eating. He then has the audacity to make a comment about why I picked off the other stuff (again, wouldn’t have had to if it were the correct order). He then makes a mocking comment about me to the kitchen. He gave the check to us (went with a friend) and didn’t split it (but asked other tables if they wanted the check to be split). That wasn’t a big deal until we asked if he could please split our check and he said “It’s not that much of a difference. I can just split it down the middle” but my friend insisted on separating the food. When he brought us the new check he made it a point to show us that the order amount wasn’t that different. He charged us for the incorrect food items anyway. Again, the food was very good but I can’t return after this...
