I asked the chicken not to be re-dropped. I specifically asked for them to drop it in the fryer FRESH. But 👎 no. They don't fry fresh chicken. It's re-fried twice. 12 pieces of dark chicken cost $18.99 - and they are dried out small pieces, mostly drum sticks. The used to drop it fresh. Now if you ask for freshly made, they just lie, and say it'll be ready in 15min. It takes at least 20-22 minutes to fry freshly dropped chicken
Inside of restaurant is not very clean; dirt embedded in the crevices, corners, and floor
All the other fried chicken places in the hood fail to marinate their chicken in brine for a proper length of time and also takes older fried chicken & fries it again (that destroys the flavor and quality).
I was refreshed to find that this place doesn't scrimp in those ways! However, the marinating process here seemed to be overdone and the inside of the chicken meat was too salty. Great job that you did marinate, but it was kind of done for too long(?). Please make it less salty from now on, and then...
Read moreTried this place for the 1st time, was looking for food around the way , because I didn't want to do a lot of driving. But anyway, I order the Philly cheese w/ fries and onion rings . I rarely do reviews, unless the food is really great or the food is terrible, and this food is far from great...
Read moreStopped by Chitown Chicken on the West Side and grabbed the 6 wings with fries and a chicken Philly. The wings were decent—crispy and flavorful—but the fries were soggy and lacked seasoning. The chicken Philly had potential but was a bit dry and could've used more cheese. Service was friendly, but the wait was longer than expected. Not terrible, but with so many options in Chicago, I was...
