Customer service was great…let me point that out! The Mac & Cheese was so dried out or burned I really couldn’t tell, the dressing was full of sage and stuffing. The bbq jerk tips was very good though, so I was able to eat something. I called in to tell them that I wasn’t pleased with my Mac & cheese at all, I mentioned the dressing as well but didn’t want to cause a big problem with replacing both sides so I only requested Mac & cheese, normally in this case most restaurants would accommodate the whole meal since it wasn’t right to begin with but in this case they didn’t they only prepared the Mac and cheese which was unseasoned and not worth even going back for. I highly recommend new cooks or cooks with patience if they want this black owned business to last. This food is horrible. I asked was the food good because I noticed, it wasn’t a soul in the restaurant, and I see why. I got the jerk chicken tip dinner, the chicken was old and cooked days ago, Mac and cheese was said to be baked but was super watery and had no flavor. The red beans and rice taste like starch. No flavor whatsoever. I called to get a refund and the manager amd owner said they don’t do refunds, amd I said I see why. The food is horrible and even the people in the area says the same thing. They have every excuse why the food is trash, but this place won’t be open long if they keep this up. I do not recommend, worst soul food I’ve ever had. I had the lamb chop dinner with cabbage, yams, and a side of dressing. The lamb chops were over a bed of mushy rice and dry with no seasoning not even salt, I tried adding Mrs dash and that still didn’t help. The cabbage was overcooked and again, no flavor. The yams were undercooked and the flavor was ok. The cornbread was burnt on the bottom. The dressing was wet and tasted worst than a box of stovetop. My husband had the salmon dinner with Mac and greens, he complained about his food as well, I couldn’t attempt to taste his food after tasting my own.
