Every been in the mood for some good tacos or burrito and wanted to try something new... if so don’t think about this place, go to your regular spot. This post is straight from the stomach and wallet so it won’t be nice. I just picked up a deflated small burrito, with a side of decent beans and rice and WATERY sauce, I won’t even call it salsa. There’s more lettuce than meat which doesn’t make sense for what you pay. Speaking of which, don’t trust the online pictures of the menu. My price in store was significantly higher and when questioned why the difference the response ā€œwe do not have a menu onlineā€. There’s a point of responsibility you should take when you know something online about your business is different than what you offer, price is one of them. So since you do not have an online presence but know the one out there represents your establishment allow me to help other stay away from here. Over $30 for two people to eat takeout tacos and a lettuce burrito... no thanks. Decent taste but better...

I hate to leave this review but it’s specifically for ownership. I like this place but you have to legitimize your business. I went and paid using my cell device, was charged for my meal but received no food due to internet issues on the restaurants end. I will not be refunded for 5-10 days. Now I’m being forced to trust you will handle the situation properly when it wasn’t handled properly initially. As a business you have to develop the wherewithal to deal with customers. You could’ve offered me a beverage, place my meal ā€œon the houseā€ etc. There was barely an apology which is why I have left a review. As a fellow business owner sometimes you have to lose out, not just...

Mary's Taqueria serves my favorite tacos in Chicago! Ordered the pastor taco dinner to go, and was totally blown away. The flavor of the marinade combined with the aroma from the fat is just simply superb. SOOO GOOD. Even the bean that came with the dinner was so tasty. I never thought that I would comment on a side dish tbh but it's just so much better than everyone else. Fast and friendly service + great food. So glad that Mary's is right in the neighborhood. Would recommend to anyone who's looking for no frills good tacos.

I can't say enough good things about Mary's. I absolutely love this place. They have the best al pastor and chorizo tacos I've had in the city. In addition, the sopes are to die for. There are plenty of good taco places in and around Chicago, but this is my favorite and anytime I am anywhere near Mary's I make it a point to stop in and satisfy my cravings. Do yourself a favor and stop by for a treat. I'm sorry, this photo doesn't do justice, but the sopes are great!!
