Edit: TLTR: My review is completely honest and based on service I received. Not my assumption.

My response according to the response from owner: Assuming? Lol I was sitting there for 10 mins and nobody even come ask me if I need to order… In the following also no one come and ask if the food was good if we were fine etc. While ALL white ppl who sat just right next to our table got served three - four times in the time frame, frequently asking if they need more water(I counted :)) I wasn’t even been asked once about if I need anything. And I say right next to that TABLE! I had to ask for something every time and you guys even try to ignore me. Still left 15% tip shouldn’t even left a penny😀. I was there April 23rd you can check the surveillance camera if you have one and confirm my words😅 ppl right next to our table both white ppl and you guys were sooo smiling talking to them. And just ignore me and my friend the whole time even when we just sat right in the middle. How am I gonna assume this? You tell me. If you know most of your employees are asian then please do not treat other asian ppl(I do mean Chinese here) so bad and so obviously different from treating white ppl.🤨Not the first time as from what I know Ok?

Also in case you said I still left tip when I criticize the service. I left tip all the time cuz job is not easy for everyone. I try to respect others work as much as I can. Even though I didn’t get single respect from your employees. Only getting you criticize me for leaving honest review. WOW.

Bad service. Obviously treating customers differently according...

Closed. Not open for Customers. After making a special-trip to this 1/2 Empty Food Market/Food-Court we we told by people at The Customer Service Desk of the Grocery Store that since 4th of July they’ve been closed. 😖 As we looked for alternative options at 7:00pm on a “School-Night”, all of the other Food Vendors either: had “broken-down” their food displays/ Workers had their purses slung over a shoulder/Ready-To-Go-Home, or-had turned off the lights.

S.O.L.😤 Not really a venue I think I’ll be returning to.

Reply to : crabby Owner of 312 Fish Market, Not really sure how long a 4th of July National Holiday is supposed to last for you or your staff. We came there on Thursday the 7th several days past the 4th.

If you had maybe posted to GOOGLE Maps App- that you are too lazy or maybe don’t like customers to be open when your posted hours state you are open, everyone knows when you want to “make business”. 🤨 To reply to a bad (honest) review In such a negative manner shows that you have no business being in The Hospitality Industry. Why-do I say that? Because 2main factors determine a review of a Food Service Establishment-

  1. the Quality and Presentation of The Food.
  2. The cleanliness & Attitude(s) & general kindness (Hospitality) of those serving the Customers.

Since I am unable to review your Foods Quality, I am only able to give a negative 1-star Rating to your...

2023 update: our first experience with the sushi here was impressive, but we have since ordered a few more times and I have to say that the food has been inconsistent. It's not bad and it's still a good value (esp. the party trays) , but it also hasn't lived up to that first tray the last few times we tried it. YMMV.

Original review: Super friendly and helpful staff, fast delivery, and amazing sushi. Great value, too. My wife and I have lived in South Loop for years and have tried probably a dozen sushi restaurants in the area. This one is a little far from us so we didn't try it until today, but we were blown away by how tasty it was, especially given the affordable pricing and laid-back vibe.

We got the Roll Out platter for ourselves and some friends. It's an incredible value for the amount of sushi included, and every roll was delicious. Fish portions were large and very fresh. A substantial part of the platter is "spicy" rolls which I was a little worried about - many sushi places grind up the meat into a mushy paste mixed with who-knows-what, but not here. These were easily the best spicy tuna, spicy salmon and spicy yellowtail rolls I've ever had - they're good-sized bits of quality meat mixed with a delicious spicy mayo sauce. No meat paste. They were delightful.

Anyway, we may have found a new favorite sushi spot. I just wish we had...

I’ve been wanting to try this spot for so long, so I randomly decided to get a late dinner and this place is actually located at the top level of 88 marketplace in Chinatown. The menu looked so good, and the special set that I first tried was the aji sashimi set. The fish was of incredible quality, and the flavor had a more raw salty flavor, but it was very subtle. the yellowtail jalapeño sashimi was very buttery. Then I ordered some nigiri, and this was all just melting your mouth just by the heat of your tongue, it was unreal. my favorite nigiri was the uni, this was top 3 for sure.the wagyu was delicate on the salt and was also a repeat for me. The botany ebb was mild sweet and loved the crunchy heads too. then ordered even more nigiri, and really loved the lean tuna here, it was fleshy and soft. The hand rolls were a must order too like the spicy tuna which had a hefy amount of tuna, and the the yellow tail handroll was light and packed to the top. for dessert, the finishing touch was the wagyu topped with caviar and this was also a really solid dollop of caviar. Overall, a top five sushi spot in chicago, very impressed.
