Subway — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

I visited this Subway post completion of a workout at Lawndale Christian Fitness Center because I wanted a healthier option in comparison to what restaurants are in Lawndale Plaza. As somewhat of a regular at Subway, I noticed this location sometime ago, but really had no interest in visiting it at the time until now.

The parking lot is shared with other restaurants and businesses, but it has well enough parking spots available on any part of Lawndale Plaza. The one thing that stood out to me visiting was the bulletproof window, which shields the employee from the customer. It made it sort of hard to order in the process unless you speak through the circled openings of it.

I ended up ordering a 6-inch cold cut combo w/ chips and drink after briefly contemplating a meatball sub. Not sure what was wrong with the employee here, but he seemed either exhausted, bitter or drunk, as he put together my sandwich which was sort of lazy-like. Any other customer in this neighborhood in particular would have taken his attitude and lashed out on him because of his physical demeanor. Maybe he hates his job or maybe someone rubbed him the wrong way, but it is no way to act when customers are present.

Overall, I had a subpar experience and would probably rethink returning soon because it just didn't sit well with me especially with someone that is making my food. As for the sandwich, there wasn't anything special about it; it tasted average at best and certainly wasn't fresh. Prior to eating the sandwich, I noticed that he didn't even give me not one napkin.
