Sunny Sub — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

This place serves pretty amazing sandwiches (I recommend the Philly Katakat) considering the location. One of the very few places where they literally mix and match all the meats on the menu to make unique sandwiches. Ignore the 1 star review, on the menu it says "Chopped Steak Burger" which is totally different from a "steak sandwich." If you've never had chopped steak, don't order it because it's not what you think (chopped steak is Salisbury steak without the gravy.)

Other than that you can't go wrong here and they serve all sorts of dishes. Super taco is a taco with enormous amounts of meat served on a warm, buttery, fluffy pita bread. They aim to please and will accommodate how you want the food made as well.

It's also one of the places that serve the delectable gyro cheeseburger which is a cheese Burger topped with gyro meat. There's also generous portions here as well, pretty much everything on the menu is intended to fill you up.

Only gripe is the fries which are just plain cut, no seasoning, but you get so much for your $$$ you can overlook that. Plus if you ask they'll put any sauce and/or seasoning on them for free anyway. My co-workers and friends love this place and keep coming back after I introduced them!

Tip: The usual patrons put mild sauce, a cheap BBQ sauce, on things so the restaurant just puts it on the fries by default. If you don't want it, tell them upfront. It's good...

I agree prices are way too high for the neighborhood. Also, the amount of food does not quantify the price. I purchased the Philly cheese steak meal, I'm from Philly expecting the 13" long hoagie bread WE use, instead received a size a little more than a hotdog bun. Served in a small platter container with a small amount of fries ( not hot). Price was $11.00. Hoagie was tasty, definitely NOT a Philly cheesesteak. Definitely gouging the neighborhood.
