I absolutely love supporting black owned businesses and I make it a preference and do so! But whew let me tell everyone that wants to visit this establishment, it will be your first and last time just based off food alone!!! The cherry on top would have to be the terrible service and customer service endured by this black owned establishment mostly by the owner/husband. The wife/owner was very accommodating upon trying to seat us when we arrived, even though we had a reservation. There is a $90 minimum per table, no problem. We were told this upon entering by security who waned us down for weapons before we were allowed to sit and wait! The chicken was so hard I couldn’t cut it with a knife. The salmon was actually 🔥🔥 and very well seasoned. The lamb chops tasted grainy, but the asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes were good. The seafood bites were ok , but the fried lobster tail was over cooked!💯 be prepared to wait over an hour for food. Also note that the smash burgers are actually frozen patties as stated by the owner! Our waitress was great but the food and customer service from the owner/husband plus a few other staff members were shocking and distasteful! Also note the owner/husband will keep up a disagreement with women, throw unnecessary shots, and belittle women all while watching you pay for your meal before exiting his establishment for no necessary reason at all. The owner went back and forth with women instead of having his wife step in and address issues, one in which she was Initially involved in. The food and quality of food was very over priced and over rated to say the least. I should’ve noticed red flags when I noticed people leaving and having words with the other staff members upon our arrival. Could say more but I’d rather not! Don’t waste time or money here! 💯💯 in response to the husband replying below which I’m sure it’s him because this is how he spoke to three women at the time but worse with his sassy self, you’re completely lying to save face for your business and I have receipts and screen shots to prove so. My sister booked a table for three and was waiting to be seated anywhere in your establishment until ur wife came and asked us if we wanted to Be seated with our family since a few other people left after arguing with your ill equipped bartender and staff. (Which is where your wife should’ve stepped and said something to you because that was her choice to seat us). One of the waitresses came over and literally cut into my sisters burger and saw the outside of it was burnt and the middle completely raw so she apologized and took both burgers back without a problem but I guess since your sassy self was in your feeling and you’re the owner who cooked the burgers you had something to say since it was your screw up. Most of my family definitely complained except not to you but amongst themselves and we all agreed to never return. Please don’t lie to these people because we’ve had our experience and shared our truths and you’re upset. Your response alone is very telling in itself owner. You state our family backed up your spot but how so if everyone there were paying patrons. do better at handling business, providing the best service for your customers, and updating those recipes because the food was not great at all. Mid at best. You forgot to mention the smash burgers are frozen patties that you stated you had to wait to unthaw that’ you used as your excuse for burgers turning out the way they did and for the wait. Over cooked, over rated, and overly expensive to say the least about your food as stated above. Also teach your staff how not to overbook or let over the amount of people in if you have capacity limits. Bad enough you have be searched before having a meal. Shoutout to our waitress again who was great with addressing our concerns that’s why she received the huge tip she received! 🙌🏾 she was the only good thing about your establishment so give her a raise. You clearly Was raised with all girls or ur wife is ur beard cause your words/ways/attitude are...
Read moreI came in yesterday to celebrate my birthday with my family. Upon arrival, I was greeted very warmly by a guy at the door who told me I could join my party at the table because they were already seated.
I had heard about TNT on social media and decided to give it a try. It was important to me to support a black owned business to celebrate my birthday and I’m so happy I did. This was one of the BEST birthday dinners I’ve had in a long time and let me tell you why..
There was a very LARGE party also celebrating a birthday. When the waitress came over to take my order she was very kind and friendly. My family and I were able to put in our drink and food orders right away. There was a wait due to that very large party but the food came out extremely fresh and our waitress who later I found out was one of the co-owners apologized for the wait and then followed up by saying she would make sure that when the food was ready we would get it right away. That was a great example of what exceptional customer service should look like. I ordered the blackened salmon, mash potatoes and asparagus. I had buffalo shrimp as my appetizer. Everything was absolutely delicious. The drink I had was called Oh La La, also very good! It had some sweetness, but not too overwhelming.
As my family and I are talking, a guy walks up and introduces himself as Tony. He tells us that he is also one of the co-owners of TNT with his wife Tanika. But that’s not all Tony did. Originally Tony was just walking around introducing himself and thanking his customers for coming in, he had made it a point to say to my family if we needed anything to please let him know so he can make it better. Okay, I don’t know about yal but that is very rare for any owner or manager to be that personable and intentional about your overall experience.
When I told Tony it was my birthday, he truly made my experience at TNT very memorable. Adding balloons to my table, birthday sign, music and a birthday shot.
One of the things that also stuck out the most was that Tony wanted to share where he started and what has inspired him today to open up TNT. I was very interested in his upbringing because it truly is a beautiful story and will motivate anyone who probably has felt incapable or had people doubt them or never support them. He literally took almost 45 mins just giving us a message that I didn’t know we needed about believing in yourself and being your biggest supporter. Went for food, let with a positive message.
I want to say THANK YOU so much to everyone at TNT. I wish an abundance of support, growth and success. The food and drinks are amazing. The ambiance is beautiful and the vibe is welcoming. Please support this amazing black owned business you will not be...
Read more1st time and last time for my family and I. The establishment had no AC and of course we came on the hottest day (fathers day). If yall were there then you know. We came right when they opened and sat down... there is security that will wand you and check your bags at the entrance. Let me just start by saying the service was slow due to lack of staff. The waitress brought out a four piece tray of Hawaiian bread with some type of oil basted on them. We first ordered drinks, mine came first, 15 minutes after and my wife's came 10 minutes later.. the drinks were made incorrectly which made the drinks un-enjoyable. After 40 minutes of sitting the waitress asked for our order, we only ordered 3 items off the menu. After 30 minutes went by the waitress came back and asked what was the name on the reservation in which I replied " we did not make one" she nodded her head and said ok and then asked us what we would like to order? I thought I was in the twighl light zone at that moment. Apparently she never placed our order originally. That's when it hit me I made a mistake coming in. This is why it is hard to support a business like this one, during this moment the storm had begun and it was pouring outside so we looked up and told her we want to give you all the benefit based on her not having any support. In this case my kindness was my weakness. Im gonna speed this up.. the food was overly salted with thee exception of one item on the dish. Some of the items was over cooked dry. The fried rice was terrible and bland. The presentation of the food was sloppy and basic. The waitress maintained her overwhelming stress with a smile but she was under pressure. I do not write reviews often at all but in this instance this was needed to be said. I wish I could really paint the picture for you all. In the end you can eat where ever you desire but we will never eat here again. Did I mention we were sweating the whole time we were there..🥵 the bill came with no offer of compensation and they automatically added a 18% gratuity for 2 person table, the nerve I thought. We left feeling robbed and super disappointed. We took an loss and that is not easy in today's...
