I ate here with my family last month in November. I had very high expectations for good tasting Italian food. I would NOT recommend this restaurant if you are looking for authentic Italian food.
This review consists for a total of 3 appetizers, 4 entrees, and 1 desert.
Appetizers: $16 Calamari. The calamari was very disappointing. It had no seasoning and was not crunchy at all. It was basically little squares of breaded octopus (as opposed to the crunch swirls you'd typically find at other places). Verdict: not worth it $18 Over baked mussels. These were actually very delicious. The sauce the mussels were served with made it even better paired with the crunchy bread. They gave about 8-10 pieces of mussels. Verdict: worth it $15 Caprese. It was very delicious and the pesto and balsamic dressing was a nice touch. For the price point you are given 4 quarter inch slices of mozzarella cheese (size of a tomato slice), 4 tomato slices, and 4 basil leaves. Verdict: not worth it. I will be making this at home if I ever crave it
Entrees: $22 Raviolacci Toscani: shredded beef ravioli. Absolutely atrocious. Looked like vomit. The beef inside was not seasoned, the sauce it was served with lacked flavor. Verdict: not worth it $28 Penne E Capesante: penne pasta with scallops. First off the bat, i taste tested the pasta. Obviously not home made. Tasted like pre packaged pasta that was simply boiled and season with some spices, and thrown in with some scallops. It honestly tasted like penne ive made at home. The 5 scallops they gave were super salty to the point where it wasn't even flavorful. It was like eating a spoon of salt salty. Verdict: not worth it $25 Eggplant parm: slices of eggplant smothered in tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. I wanted to cry when I took my first bite. Eggplant was very bland and not seasoned at all, the tomato sauce tasted very generic, and the cheese was just your average mozzarella cheese. Please avoid this. Verdict: not worth $44 lamb: this was the only saving grace. The cook on the lamb was well done. Gave about 8 lamb lollipops. Very tender and the sauce it was served in was delicious and savory. The roasted veggies and potatoes on the side were also very tasty and had a nice char to them. Verdict: worth it.
Dessert: $9 Lava cake with pistachio Gelato. The cake was soft and flowed with lava, but it seemed microwaved because from the time I ordered to when they brought it out seemed much too quick. The Gelato was decent. Tasted like your average pistachio Gelato. Verdict: not worth it.
Overall, this place is NOT worth your money. It was too expensive for the bland and...
Ā Ā Ā Read morei dined here at least 2 times a month for the past 5/6 years? im always kind, respectful and all the staff knows me.... last night, i was there again BY MYSELF like i am always... if you ve been here before you know the place isn't ' quiet" as they have tables on top of each other and kitchen is open in addition to the TV playing sports by the bar. as i was sitting eating, i get a short urgent call which i HAD to take " why do i even have to explain this" the call was normal.... except in ARABIC... as im speaking not even 5 min into it, their RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL AGGRESSIVE supervisor old man with glasses came up to me all rude as me to " get off the phone" because it is disturbing a specific customer... i was shocked to say the least.... im like what ? im bymyself quiet and i can't take a small call??? its like me sitting talking like everyone else except im on the phone.... he walks off to the " older lady" who by the way I WAS HEARING TALK LOUD the whole time yelling at him because she didn;t want me on the phone. the issue isn't me eing " loud " because the restaurant is loud... she is loud and everyone else was loud... the issue is i was SPEAKING ARABIC and their RACIST selves couldn't handle it. off course " i have a video of it" so i address her by saying the restaurant is loud and you are as well if you dont like it stay home... before i could even get up and pay my tab to leave since he ruined my night the manager litterally physically attacked me. came pulled my chair i fell and pushed me on my back with an already injured shoulder. i can't explain the amount of humiliation i suffer and the pain in my shoulder as we speak. filed police report will be filing charges against him and you all will hear from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family and I used to eat at Tuscany often since i was young and I remember the food to be piping hot always and the service to on point, but this last visit wasn't the 5 star treatment I have to been used to in the past from Tuscanys. Reservations can be made online through Opentable. We made them the day of and had no issues. We just left a ceremony for a family member and it was a very important early celebratory dinner for us. We took an Uber to the restaurant even though there is street parking and valet available ($6). Our server was Manuel. Older gentleman with glasses. He seemed nice at first. But I don't think he was having a good day. We ordered coffee, they serve Lavazza coffee. It wasnt even hot, drank it anyways. We tried to flag him down for a refill, no luck. Had to ask one of the other bus boys. Asked him for more bread, part of the 1st batch was rock hard, Manuel never brought it. Had to ask the bus boy again and we were given better bread. The food came out piping hot and delicious. 3 stars for that. But our server just started handing out the dishes at one side of the table not remembering anyone's order and had us pass them around. He also never checked on us after we got our food. We finally saw him when he dropped off the bill. We paid with a credit card, signed it etc. Usually, servers pick it (the black pad that has the signed merchant copy) up AFTER the party leaves, well, our server reached his arm in front of my father to grab it before we even left the restaurant. *Rude. Aside from the great food, we were extremely disappointed with the service, 2 stars lost for their service. Will we be back? With all the nearby competition....
