I've been here twice, & so far so good. I really like the turkey burger. The regular burgers are just as good though. I gotta say it would be nice if they made a stuffed burger without the bacon for customers who don't eat pork, but overall the food is good. The fries were soggy though. I enjoyed the onion rings. I like how they have mini burgers. I ordered for pick up so I don't know what it's like dining in. Their busy sauce is really savory, and the ingredients were fresh both times. I'm giving this rating 3 stars instead of 5 stars because customer service plays a part in my reviews, & there customer service lacked big time on my second visit. I don't like being starred down with a dirty look when I walk into a food joint to pick up my food. I'm a paying customer, not a criminal. I don't care what the guy thought about me, or anyone at that, but this guy literally starred me down with a dirty look from the moment I walked in, so I look the other way to see if the guy was looking the other way, but rest assured he was starring at me with that same dirty look when I looked back at him & then he eventually looked away after I starred him back down. You have a job to do & it involves kind & pleasant interaction with people who visit your food joint so...
Read moreI didn't come to Chicago for burgers, but after a long day you settle for food the kids will eat. Busy Burger is good food, even if you have to deal with Chicago prices.
I had the standard Busy Burger with an order of fries. It was a well made burger with the standard toppings. Their special sauce is quite good, but it could stand to be spread more liberally to the edge of the bun so every bite can enjoy the spice. The fries seemed to be freshly made. They remind me of Five Guys but lacking something.
My wife got the Tofu Burger and onion rings. She loved the burger. I tried the rings. They were overall well made, cooked enough that the onions actually come apart when bitten into rather than sliding out of the breading. I didn't love the flavor of the breading, but she did. There's a lack of rings given per order, especially when compared to the generous amount of fries. They should also offer special sauce for the rings.
One of my kids got the pizza puff. No one sells pizza puffs back home, so none of us knew what to expect. She ended up dipping it in ketchup, which suggests to me sauce should be offered or there should be a little more inside the puff.
It was overall very good. If given the opportunity, we...
Read moreBusy burger is a trendy-looking burger restaurant on the UIC campus...And that's about it. After eating here I was only just satisfied, nothing more. I ordered a burger and a chocolate milkshake. The burger had a regular sized patty, but it was inconsistent in it's thickness (some bites were larger than others) I'm not sure if this was just my burger or not. The patty tasted similar to a burger from Buffalo Wild Wings, (it tasted good, but not fantastic). The bun jowever was absolutely fantastic, one of my favorite burger buns ever: slightly crispy on the bottom and big enough to cover the patty (some buns slide off or disappear while eating the burger...It's hard to explain but I'm sure you know what I mean; this bun did not do that). The chocolate shake was far too thick and took a while to drink. It also tasted like chocolate ice cream (not very milky, quite rich) It was as if the milkshake was just ice cream scooped into a cup. It tasted similar to a chocolate shake from Shake Dhack, which I also don't care for (too rich for me, I prefer a more milky shake (like Culver's)). Overall the burger was decent and the shake was rich and...
