McDonald's — Restaurant in West Chicago

They couldn't understand me at the drive-up window that I had a coupon for a free med soft drink & med fry with purchase of a specialty burger. I ordered the white cheddar with garlic burger. Never tried the specialty burgers before. Got my order & left. When I opened the bag & looked at the burger it had mushrooms on it. The ticket on the box said white cheddar & garlic. I remembered the picture having lots of lettuce & tomato of which it had none. I went back to the McDonald's drive up & gave the lady the burger back & told her the picture showed lettuce & tomato & asked if they could fix it. They must have finally read the ticket on the box because when I got the burger back there were no mushrooms on it & there were these toasted chips of garlic & the white cheese & lots of shredded lettuce & tomato & garlic sauce. Whew! Now I know what goes on that burger. Those crispy little pieces of garlic & garlic sauce with that shredded crunchy lettuce & tomato, BAM! My new favorite burger. The person that 1st made that burger must not have been able to read. Probably not going back to...

Food: Sometimes hot and actually edible, other times old. I don't like onions so I don't get onions on my burgers, yet they always taste like onions anyway. Fries are cold half the time. They fill your McFlurry's halfway and not to the top even though they're $5

Service: There's some staff there that are very sweet and friendly but they have staff there that don't say a word to you at all. Just hands you your food and closes the window and doesn't acknowledge you. I get it's a fast paced environment but the least they can do is smile and they don't even do that.

Atmosphere: The food and service is really what makes the atmosphere what it is, so I'd say overall 6x/10 it's okay.

Moral of the review is you can be having the worst day ever and McDonald's will make it...

The Ronald McDonald House is a wonderful charity and I donate and I eat here because of that so that it can be supported. This particular McDonald's is very different from any other McDonald's. I've eaten at anywhere in the country. I had chicken nuggets and a double cheeseburger, it was tasty. The meat in the burger tasted like actual meat from a grass fed free roam animal and the chicken. Nuggets were edible, usually the nuggets are for my dog, but I actually ate almost all of them myself please go here and eat the food and tell me if you feel the same.
