Website clearly didnt state that they dont do online orders on weekends. I ordered for me and my family. Our order got canceled and caused an inconvenience for me getting charge already. Whole point is me not wanting to dine in on a weekend where everyone is dining in. Thats why I wanted to order it for takeout. $100 is now waiting to be returned and reflect on my bank account now. I bet the food sure is good, would've been great to take home! Just be aware to not order online on a weekend before you get robbed for a day! Go order at Fogo De Chao, they accept weekend pick up orders!
UPDATE! I had it at a 2 Star but now to 1 Star!
This place has caused so many inconveniences for me its not even funny at this point. I wanted to do an online order on a weekend and my order was cancelled, had to wait several business days for funds to appear in account. I called and they said that they only do online orders on weekdays. So taking this information that I received from the worker on the phone. I decided to give this place another try since it was raining and ordered online today, a Thursday. It got canceled again, which is leading to the same previous experience. I have to wait a couple of business days now for funds to appear again. I called and was told that they don't do weekends and for weekdays they only do mornings.
Now I'm not sure if I order in the morning in the future, would I be told I have to wait until the Sun perfectly aligns with Venus and I have to spin around 5 times before I order? Ridiculous how none of this information is on the website.
The first time it was canceled, we decided to go in to eat. Its very sub par Brazilian food. They don't even have a filet mignon cut which I found disappointing. Honestly for what you're spending you're better off making the drive to Pasadena to Fogo De Chao. If its a convenient restaurant due to distance like me, thats ok just know you're getting robbed of a...
Read moreReborn out of the ashes of Greenfield Churrascaria, Rio Picanha can now lay claim to being one of the best Southern California Churrascarias. The extensive salad bar is as good as the places that charge nearly twice the price, the pao de quejo is on point . . . hot and fresh from the oven, and the meats are terrific. The feijoada was, noticeably, missing some meat scraps, but properly done and seasoned.
They are one of the few places that serve skirt steak (my personal favorite) -- plump and tender, and they will even appease my wife (who eats with her eyes and does not care much for tender, pink-centered meat) by overgrilling her choices to well-done. This was our first time back since our last unenjoyable time at Greenfield a couple of years ago, and sevice that Sunday mid-afternoon was excellent. If they will add a couple of specialties, such as parmesan crusted steak, or pepper steak, I think that would round out an otherwise good range of beef selections. The lamb chops were perfect, as was the bacon-wrapped turkey. Didn't care too much for the "spicy" sausage, but the traditional linguica was perfect. Sadly . . . as usual . . . no room for dessert.
And, to their credit, the chimichurri was nearly as good as that we make ourselves at home. Most of the churrascarias we have been to have no clue what a real chimichurri is. Our suggestion: replace the vinegar with lemon juice and use a mix of 2/3 parsley + 1/3 cilantro. Otherwise, it was excellent.
As for the photo . . . what can I say? I did not leave any uneaten scraps...
Read moreThe experience I had tonight was Magnificent! It's one thing to have good food but a whole New level when you have Extraordinary service! The staff was Beyond belief from the entrance to the servers even upon leaving. You're greeted coming in and as you exit. Clean and well lit. The Decor was neat and beautiful. The wall waterfall was a peaceful touch. As you are seated you are presented with mouth popping heavenly delights of cheese bread balls and they keep coming as long as you empty the basket. The salad bar and buffet of sides was well stocked but not overflowing to cause a mess. Everything in small enough batches to be flavorful as if you were having a home cooked meal and not mass produced. The variety of meat available was just enough to please your every desire Chicken, Quail, Lamb, Bacon Wrapped Turkey,Beef and Pork as long as you stay on Green you will continue to get an Endless serving of meat sliced just for you hot off the fire. My personal favorite being the pork rib and skirt steak, my boyfriend's favorite being the lamb and bacon wrapped turkey. The Cinnamon sugar roasted Pineapple was the icing on the cake! It was Absolutely to die for! All of which was only $80 for 2 people. Please be aware that they do walk around offering dessert which I thought was included but it is $8 it is Not presented as an add on. I recommend this place to Any and Everyone. I have been to Fago de Chao in Hollywood and Rio Picanha was a Greater overall experience they offer More of a selection at the buffet for a more...
