Tasty Goody Chinese Fast Food — Restaurant in West Covina

NO STARS!! THIS PLACE SUCKS!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! I’ve lived in this area for years and This place USED TO BE THE SPOT FOR CHINESE FOOD BUT IT SUCKS NOW!!!!!! It’s been hit and miss for years now but because I’m loyal and I like to support small businesses I tried to keep coming. Tonight I got here maybe 15 mins before closing, which I didn’t realize because they didn’t say anything to me, but they had a small selection left, I continued to wait for probably 10 minutes before they finally started helping me, mind you I was already there for 10 minutes and they used the last of the chow mein on the previous customer which I didn’t notice until he finally moved over. The lady asked if I wanted half and half I said yes and she said it was coming because there was no chow mein left and then she just started cleaning up after a while. Another lady that worked there started to ask the people behind me what their order was and wrote it down and when the chow mein got there they started serving the people behind me and I politely let them know I hadn’t ordered yet and I was obviously before them. The people behind were apologetic but not the lady serving me. After getting my sides she started cutting my meat and everyone else started grabbing meat over her while she continued chopping chicken for the 4 other people behind me while I continued to wait patiently. She finally packed my plate and tried to head to the register when I told her I wasn’t done and just needed a small side of chow mein for my daughter since they had no other meat options she then stared at me for a sec and she looked confused when a cook that was cleaning up said there was no more chow mein. WTF so I just told her to give me my combo and let her know not allowing me to get another plate which is what I was going to get when I walked in but serving 4 other people behind me wasn’t NOT OK!! I was trying to get dinner and now I’m only allowed 1 combo even though the people behind me weren’t restricted at all, they served there combo plates before they served me even though I got there first. She just kept mumbling there was not enough. CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS!! FOOD SUCKS!! THE FRIED RICE IS SO DRY AND BLAND 🤢 ALL THE FOOD LACKS FLAVOR. I’d rather go to...

I hadn't been to Tasty Goody in quite some time. I had been a customer at this location for years. So, yesterday 4/23/23, my family and I decided to order take out. We had walked in and a lady in here mid 40's to early 50's, (we did not get her name), began asking my wife what she wanted to order. Keep in mind, this server is wearing a face mask and talking in a very low tone. So politely, my wife asked if she can repeat what she had said, as she was having difficulty hearing her. The server began filling the plate, when my wife noticed she was not adding the correct items to our plate. To which my wife politely advised her, that what she was adding to the plate was not correct. The worker was quick to talk respond in a rude and annoyed tone, "this is what you ordered isn't it!?!". Of course, we mentioned that is not what we ordered. To which, she rolled her eyes so far back we could no longer see her pupils. (Seriously, rolled her eyes with such a bad attitude). We then payed cash and as she was giving back our change, she threw the money and change into my wife's had and stormed away . She. Didn't even bother handing over the food, forcing me to reach over the counter and grab it. To which i remarked, "is there a reson the be this rude??". She acted so rude for no reason and couldn't even speak to us when we called her out. Another worker (lady worker) intervened and we informed her how rude her co worker was being. She laughed and just asked again' "so what did she do?". Rather than arguing and probably getting no where with that conversation I figured I would just write an honest review of my experience at this place for people of the community to see. I'm sure there's probably a reason why the place was so empty. It's probably the service.

Thought we’d try this restaurant for the first time..We called in and placed an order for several dishes a la carte and were given a total..when we arrived there was a small line of customers waiting in line at the door.. a customer told me that if I had ordered for pick up I should go inside through the other door and pick it up. I went inside only to find out my order wasn’t even processed and the lady rudely said “I don’t know..don’t know you wait” after several minutes of being ignored and with no one even making an effort to help me or give me info on my order.. I was just waiting and thinking is she going to check for my order or ? I asked another worker at the cash register.. he also ignored me and went on attending to the walk in customers.. when the lady approached the register again I tried to ask her again if my order was going to be replaced or what should I do..she was clearly ignoring me..didn’t want to talk to me..she actually yelled at me in front of all the line of people and said “I don’t know you wait you wait” and walked away again and angry even the customer paying his bill apologized and was in disbelief embarrassed of how loud and rude she was ! I couldn’t believe the service..& that she would speak to me that way being a potential customer..actually yell at me in front of other customers. I WILL NOT be recommending this place.. or return..even if reviews say the food is good..customer service and respect for the customers is...
