Sheng Hui Dim Sum — Restaurant in West Covina

They seemed very unorganized, although that can probably be attributed to how new the place is. My mother and I ordered takeout on a Saturday morning, not even half an hour after opening, and we waited for almost an hour before we got our food. We were only fourth in line when we arrived. And even though we were there shortly after opening, they had already run out of three of the items we had wanted to try. The place is very small inside, only four small tables or so for eating there, but they do serve customers who eat there before taking orders from "to-go" customers. Most of the food we had was ok - nothing super special or delicious - although they do have some cute designs for their buns or cakes. If you're really craving dim sum and you can't get to another place because of distance (being within walking distance of this place), this will satisfy the craving, but I won't be driving to...

I was craving dim sum, so I thought I was going to a traditional teahouse. It is take-out only, unless you count the single table outside as for "eat in". The pepper chicken feet was very good. The beef tripe was just the right texture, a little crunch left, and the ginger flavor just right. The pork ribs were perfect, too. It would have been nice to have a table and some good tea. Omg one of the best dim sum place I've had! After the pandemic everyone elses' portions (or size) went down but not theirs. I was super surprised to see that each of the familiar items are all the same size as what we're used to. The flavor is outstanding and super authentic! According to the owners the chief was already a sim sum chef back in Hong Kong. We ordered for 2 and it came out to be about $40 ish.
