La Michoacana West Covina — Restaurant in California

When this place opened it was too good to be true. Authentic and fresh agua frescas, palettas, and smoothies were hard to come by and the prices were unbelievable, however, it might be under new management because the authenticity and quality is horrible now. Fresh juices now taste like cheap corn syrup mixes and the smoothies aren't great either. Not to mention the drink price went from x large $2.50 to almost eight dollars. I got sick because of how overly sweet the cucumber juice was and their strawberry agua fresca tasted like Minute Maid or something. No longer a fan and don't think I'll be going back. Much agreed with lots of the reviews the past year or so, especially the most recent 2. The lady seems sweet, but really, she is rude and has no understanding of customer service. My scoop was small and even a little melted. I wish the other ladies were still working there. I think they are new owners because they don't know a thing. I'm definitely making the drive to a different location. My kids loved this spot because of how close, but we will travel elsewhere that...

Terrible place now... I think it's good for the kids in the area but ever since they sold to the foreigners the service, products, and customization of items is not the same. They are very hard to understand and they don't understand either. I suggest making the trip to the one down Valley by the Superior. Mexican ran. 10/10 over there.
