Sushi Mura — Restaurant in West Covina

Hi.. Accidentally found this hidden gem in W.Covina... Me and my love was super hungry but lost the path and stranded in the area, and picked this restaurant for the dinner by ratings. Newly opened fresh interior and elegant vibe led us to be seated in great mood. The boss lady was super massive kind , provided us complimentary edamame and miso soups... I've revised the menu and seems like the chef's skill is very high end then we've ordered chef's special sashimi and chicken karaage-fried pop corn chicken. Chicken was very well battered with balance of savor and crunchiness, and special sauce was very satisfying... Then the main event, sashimi chef's special. Super fresh sashimi over iced pebbles and assorted pickles aside... We had salmon, hirame, snapper hamachi and toro each 3pcs. Every single piece was super mastered cut and massive freshness got directly delivered into your mouth with the joy of exclamation "wow"... This is very very unexpected pleasure and happiness in West Covina. Then we were super confident to order next one... my love is crazy in love with scallops,thus we ordered giant scallops sashimi, however chef was so grateful to our compliments, he reluctantly threw a geoduck sashimi with little warm marinated geoduck clam sashimi with scrumptious umami added plate. As you can see the presentation, chef's cutting skill is master grade and absolutely he is a master chef no doubt!!!! These gorgeous glamorous taste behind, we went on tuna tataki, accidentally forgot to take a picture of it, that was the main event. Chef's threw a 3 pcs of toro and 2 pcs of akami, tataki for us with super fresh arugulas which is our most favorite veggie!! This restaurant is absolute " have to go " restaurant in the area and with hospitality, great food but super cheap and reasonable price... We are living in Studio city but definitely will come back!!!! Thank you boss lady and the chef!!! Amazed by your food and service!!!! Great great...

ok I was craving Cali rolls but my usual spot wasn't taking orders at the time on Uber eats. so I looked for another spot. I settled on this one because they had some good deals going plus the Cali rolls looked really tasty in the pic lol. I got 2 orders Cali rolls and a yellowtail roll. I also asked for teriyaki or eel sauce on side . everything was fresh and when I say the avocado and meat melted in my mouth .. it was so amazing . I will definitely be ordering again and trying some other rolls my fave. yellow tal isn't my favorite for sushi but I'm glad I tried it and it was very fresh .

They just opened like a month ago so I stopped in on a Friday night and was pleasantly surprised! For a smaller space it had great ambiance (it also appeared very clean), service, and especially food. Right after being seated they brought miso soup and edamame, standard but good. I ordered a salad, sashimi, and a roll and the food was excellent. Fresh and prepared with care. Loved my sushi. I didn’t get any of the fried dishes or boxes or anything so I can’t comment on that. It was a little pricey for 1 person as with tip my bill was around $50. But since I can’t prepare sushi myself I will gladly pay it and I felt satisfied....
