Bao's Chinese Kitchen — Restaurant in West Haven

I placed an order on 7/2/2023 for my family of exactly $44.71. When the driver gave me the food he waited there for a second and when I said “Have a great night” he had a face because I did not give him a tip. I received a notification this morning 7/4/2023 at 4:59 AM EST that my total at Bao’s Kitchen was UPDATED TO INCLUDE A TIP?! This comes TWO days after my order, they saved my information which they are NOT supposed to be doing at all! NO card number, codes, etc are supposed to be written out! They are just supposed to put it in the machine as you tell it to them and if they miss something or mess up they ask you to repeat it. They waited a little bit and tried to take my money thinking I wouldn’t catch it, but thanks to my bank notifying me I am disputing this charge. I DID NOT authorize that $2 transaction, and even though it is a small amount it is just the principal you don’t take peoples money! Now you have to think how many other people they have done this to? It would sure add up! So skip this place if you don’t want your money stolen! Side note: They also never listen to the countless times I have told them not to put onions in our food because someone in my house is allergic it’s like they put EXTRA onions every time and my relative is stuck picking them out for like 10 minutes just to eat and their “spicy” options are bland and almost tasteless. Ordered food and I live 25 mins away to get there and pay the amount there asking they always check the money before give you the food right proper service now I get home a item is missing so call back for him to tell me come back pick it up Okay Inconvience because 25 mins away but I paid for it so go back 25 mins just to get pork fried rice and the wife had a attitude because I was upset which I couldn’t understand she is telling me sometimes there so busy they forgot which is normal we’re all humans but no matter how busy it is unless I give you the proper money for the food you won’t give me the food right? So where is the same courtesy for the food . Eating hour and half later cold food Husband was willing to work with even offered egg roll but I mention a small chicken and broccoli free and she starts yelling she’s losing money now but where is the same consideration for someone who drove almost a hour and half to get Chinese food I could of got 5-10 mins away locally . But my girlfriend likes the food here but I will never return or give my business poor...

Every time I order from this restaurant the American girl who works there messes my order up but when the Chinese people take it my order is fine they should really reconsider having people that are Chinese food expertise work there. When I called to let them know they messed up my order they were very rude and fought with me mind you over a dollar eggroll !! They told me that I need to learn how to go speak English when my English is well rehearsed and I am from this country. I have been a customer of the restaurant for years but I am definitely going somewhere else that has better customer service and appreciates customer loyalty and is not rude and I will make sure I tell all my friends and family the same they lost out on a bunch of great customers over an egg roll shame on you learn how to work on your customer service and get somebody who is Chinese to work on your team who does that...
