Me & my husband loved going here until we had the worse exspierience ever & we got real sick behind an order we had purchased, This happened a little over 2 months ago. Me & my husband were the very first customers & we went in the morning & we both ordered a breakfast meal that both came with hotcakes & They even fot my meat cause I got the meat breakfast It just took me awhile to finally write this review But we never Forgotten & we never will forget our exspierience, So we got our meal to go to take home, When we got home & we started eating the pancakes We both looked at eachother & we both made a nasty face & we both said at same time something don't taste right & we spit it out & my husband was gagging & I start feeling a pain in my stomach & before you knew it I was in the bathroom throwing up My husband is a chef by trade & he says OMG the batter of the hotcakes is spoiled We immediately stopped eating after a couple bites, My husband calls up Frankie's Talks to the owner The owner says if we wanted another hotcakes We both said huh We don't want nothing else from there that we are coming up there & bringing everything back cause we didn't even start eating on the other stuff yet, After the awful terrible taste we had in our mouths we didn't want anything else from there, We were so disgusted by the exspierience I went in & brought everything back & we got our refund back, The owner didn't even seem sympathetic or apologetic & thought it was no big deal that his cooks batter was indeed spoiled & that we got sick from it, After this exspierience we never been back & we talk about it to this day, We should of known because when we first went & was waiting on our food to be ready Me & my husband was talking about that they need to update their drink machine as there bugs flying around the area & if you look at the ceiling inside there are alot of holes They need to remodel We don't know how health inspection hasn't shut them down yet. After the exspierience we had & they didn't even seem to care like it was no big deal to get sick & they knew the batter mixture was spoiled by the look on their faces but they didn't care. We will never be back their again. They probably do t even wash their hands when preparing you food We use to love going here, We don't even want to know when Customers don't see there unsanitary issues Cause they didn't even seem to care that the batter was spoiled & it seemed like it was no big deal to them,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been here a handful of times while my car was getting worked on next door and the place is absolutely awful. The restaurant itself is always dirty. The food is relatively overpriced compared to qualitu and there is a 59 cent surcharge for credit transactions under $10. This practice is pretty outdated and unnecessary in 2018.
Everything stated above is forgivable, but the food is awful. It is your average selection of a greasy burger place, which is fine, but nothing is made well. I have tried a multitude of menu items and have not enjoyed a single one. On my most recent visit I tried a beef empanada and a "Mac n chili dog" (foot long dog with mac n cheese, bacon, and chili on it). The beef empanada was horrible. The crust was chewy and not crispy/flaky like a normal empanada. The meat inside did not taste seasoned at all. Worst of all I think there was American cheese inside the empanada which is a first for me. The hot dog itself was good, but that's because someone far away from Frankie's made it. The Mac n cheese was okay, and was pretty much just the kind you get at KFC. It had one strip of thin bacon on the top. The chili was for some reason spread on underneath the hot dog and had little to no flavor. Because they put the chili underneath the hot dog, the entire hot dog fell apart upon my first bite and I had to eat it with a fork and knife.
In a market flooded with greasy fast food, there are plenty of other choices. Stick with Goodie's down the street or even...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe absolutely loved the idea of everything. They had lots of options. We tried a Georgia dog with chili/cheese, an Irish dog, a Mac n cheese dog, a chili dog, a plain dog, and garlic parmesan wings. We thought that the Long dog was special, but all the dogs were foot long, so we over ordered some. To us, the dogs had no flavor. They tasted like a 1960's hot dog on the heat light spinner in a movie theater. The chili was good. I really liked their home relish at the condiment counter. My son liked his Mac hot dog, and d daughter liked her wings. Steak fries were ok, better with a little salt and dipping I. ketchup. Staff was a 5 šš¤©. She was super patient with us and answered all our questions. Looks like this place has been opened since the 70s and kept the same decor and seating. Little run down, not dirty, just old. Was...
