This RATCHET Target RUINED MY 10YO's only 2 Christmas SURPRISES!!!
My daughter expressed that she only wanted LOL dolls for Christmas this year as we are on a budget.
1st store pickup at this inclompetent store was inside. I specifically told the cashier, to NOT let my daughter see the gift....she brings it to me from behind the counter walking in front of my daughter with the bag OPEN and my daughter yells... that's Miss Glam LOL doll. I was soo upset!!!! I couldn't say anything because I would have caused such a scene!!!!
Next day...I decided to purchase another LOL doll my daughter really liked and the only Target store which had it in stock was this Orange CT Target. So I said, there was no way they could screw up Drive Up pickup...and when I arrived to the parking space, I lifted my trunk so the staff could put it in the back of my SUV. Simple right? NOT for this store. The staff passes the open trunk and brings the darn doll to my drivers seat window with the ..... doll in NO BAG AT ALL. My daughter says from the backseat..."okay...I'm gonna just pretend I didn't see that one too!" I was HORRIFIED AND MADE HIM HOLD IT SO I COULD TAKE PICTURES. Mind you that the other packages are in a bag and some folded down. I just couldn't understand it.
If I can help it, I will never go back to this store. And I am extra irritated because I purchased a special wrapping and bow to elevate the surprise that was SUPPOSED to be wrapped extra pretty as a consolations for not buying any big ticket items due to the economy and inflation. Thanks Orange Target for ruining both of these gifts.
Not to mention I visited 4 Targets tonight, dreadful Orange, Hawley Lane, Trumbull West, and N. Haven. All but Orange had stellar service which is probably why they were sold out of the items in demand and this one wasnt. I stopped shopping at Walmart YEARS ago because of their lack of customer service. Target is my happy place. I can relax and shop at the same time. Its ashame this store ruined it for me and my daughter during a child's most exciting time...

Had a present to buy as it started snowing. Another Target said they had stock and tried to check. UNFORTUNATELY, OTHER STORES KNOW AND JOKE THAT THIS STORE DOESN'T ANSWER THE PHONE. I have a big truck, no problem for me. I get there, they don't have the item. No problem, UNTIL customer service tells me I SHOULD HAVE CALLED FIRST!! 2 other stores called from the landlines AND their cell phones!
What if I was a parent with a child in need of something important?? As a parent, I wouldn't want to take my child out in bad weather, but I may HAVE to.
Imagine that parent sees the website shows stock (like my situation), they try calling to make sure, 8 calls over 30 minutes with no answer, they drive out to get something like formula, they DON'T end up having what they need, they leave, take a right to the next store (instead of the left they would normally take), someone slides..... can't stop.... accident.... How easy simple things turn tragic! Customer service answers phones in my world, yet your laughed at by your other stores........
Maybe that's ok for management and corporate. I see a civil suit coming. God forbid that happened to my blood..... And don't think a situation like that doesn't turn criminal. It's 2019, accountability is a priority.
End of story.... First, don't tell a customer they should have called.... when you don't answer the phone, and your sister stores know it. WALMART EVEN ANSWERS THE PHONE... and they are the devil! Second, if you don't want to offer customer service, MAKE THE WEBSITE ACCURATE! Third, lower your prices, you'll have better profits when you chop off that dead arm called "customer service." Forth........ corporate...... don't you care about pride and reputation? Ooor is it all profits? This store will be the next Ames, Caldors, Bradley's, Sears, etc... one by one, they bite the dust. This is why we all miss...
Read moreThis was my first experience placing an order online with Target and picking it up in the store. To my dismay there were several negative issues with this process. To start, two of my items had to be shipped because of the lack of availability. I did not find this too inconvenient initially; however, as the process progressed, I became very disheartened. The next alert I received stated that two of my items were not available at my selected store location. Rather then Target moving my entire order to another location (so I had only one store to drive to), I had to pick up my order at multiple locations. Some items were at the 1st location (Milford) and then I had to go to a 2nd location (Orange) to get my remaining items. On top of that, when I arrived at Milford (after receiving an email alert that my order was ready for pickup), my order was missing an item and another item was opened. The customer service agent’s attitude and resolution to the issues were unacceptable. Instead of requesting an employee to obtain the item, I was told to go get the items and come back to the service desk. I am disabled so walking through the store is a challenge which is why I decided to try online ordering with store pickup. What was the whole point of ordering online if I had to walk through the whole store to obtain my items!! Due to the sequence of numerous issues with this process, I have no future plans to use Target’s online ordering service with store...
