IF IT WEREN’T FOR ANGELICA..,
You read that right! If it weren’t for Angelica the 10 of us would’ve walked out last night. We had a large group looking for a place that would welcome us despite not having reservations. Well.. we found this spot and met an ANGEL named Angelica. She welcomed us; told us our large group would be just fine. She started to rearrange the tables and we decided to help her because that’s what appreciative people do. The cook started yelling at us from the back. He was RUDE, HORRIBLE, UNREASONABLY HOSTILE AND RIDICULOUS! All because we were helping her. I wondered if he had an issue with a bunch of black people showing up unannounced..? I asked Angelica if he was the owner and she said yes. We were APPALLED!! THE OWNER WAS YELLING AT US?? I told her we won’t be putting money in his pocket. She begged us to stay. She told us her story and we felt compelled to let her do service recovery that the owner could take lessons from. We did. Angelica was the greatest!! We never would ever have stayed anyplace like this but.. IF IT WEREN’T...

Told them we would pick up in 45 minutes so they didn't have to rush. They refused to take our order because they "don't do make ahead". I said it would be fine, we just wanted to pick up when we arrived. If they asked, I would have paid for it over the phone.
"No, come in, we're slow, we will make it right away." We get up at 3:30AM for work so we didn't have time to wait for them to make it.
The last time we ordered, it took more than an hour to get our pizza even though it was supposed to be 30 minutes. Didn't complain when we waited but now, you have lost...

The first thing i noticed upon biting was the sauce, hard to describe but it does pop the first slice or two before settling down. Its a really good pizza, wish I could give a half star more. Grease level is about average, but since the crust on the bottom is sturdy it doesn't let the pizza droop, even after being microwaves. Crust is the best for a non-New Haven style pie. Sauce is pretty good, cheese is more or less the average around here, which for the area is...
